I have been doing Z-Ultimate Self Defense for a year now and love it. Z-Ultimate Karate is unique and challenges all ages, teaching discipline and control. It has helped me not only to strengthen my memory and loose weight but also with my confidence. It is extremely empowering and freeing to know you can defend yourself in any negative situation that may come, especially as a woman. I can not speak more highly of Sensei Kristen. She is such a fun teacher and can cater to many different learning forms. Group classes are the best and I love the mutual respect everyone has for each other no matter their belt rank. I first tried one of Kristen’s women’s self defense classes and I have continued ever since. I highly recommend Z-Ultimate for any age, especially children.

My 4 yearold daughter Maycee has been attending Z Ultimate since this past august and she loves it! I have seen such a difference in her behavior and attitude. My Daughter has been with the Z family for more then 6 yrs now. Sensi Kristen has been my daughters Instructor and most importantly Mentor through all these years and we don’t ever what to be anywhere else but part of the Z Family!!! Z-Ultimate in Castle Rock is a top notch venue for kids of all ages to learn martial arts. My seven year old son loves the private lessons and group classes and I can't help but take note of his increased self-confidence. In addition to the core physical aspects of their craft, Kristen and the other sensei focus on discipline, respect and humility, ensuring that students also learn and appreciate the core values of martial arts.

Karate has been one of the best investments we have made for our son. After trying multiple team sports with lots of tears, we now have a sport that he has never complained about going to in 2 years! Sensei Kristen and the rest of her staff are everything you would want in a Karate instructor. Sensei Kristen is a fun teacher while at the same time teaching kids Humility, Self Discipline, Respect, Focus and much more. The kids have a great time in group classes! I highly recommend Z U Ultimate in Castle Rock!

My son Eric has autism. He has always wanted to try Martial Arts. He LOVES everyone he has trained with at Z-Ultimate Self Defense Studios, even group classes are amazing. This is a very special group of people that have entered our lives. The most important factor was being able to have one on one lessons for Eric and still be very affordable. The day we stopped at the studio and asked about private lessons was a day Eric will never forget. Thank you, Sensei Kristen, for all you do and your positive impact on Eric's life!

I joined to support my son, but stayed (4+ years now) for so many reasons: a break from the family and responsibility, great exercise, interesting and surprisingly fun, and (as a bonus) now I feel confident that I could defend myself and my kids (and my husband 🙂 ) if ever needed. As a mother never remotely interested in martial arts, I continue to be surprised at how much I enjoy Kenpo Karate. Sensei Kristin is extremely competent in her martial arts and is an excellent instructor. The community at the Castle Rock dojo is very supportive. You won't regret joining the dojo!
