My husband and I participated in the Emerald Mountain snowshoe tour with Karen as our guide/enthusiast. The views were spectacular and we both truly enjoyed the whole experience. We were lucky enough to do a full moon snowshoe hike at Steamboat with naturalist Hailey of Yampatika and biologist Jeremiah from the Forest Service. It was our first snowshoe experience and we were shown how to wear and use the snowshoes. We did a moderate ascent up a green run and some off piste searching making for a fun post ski workout. We learned so much about the area, fauna and animals from our friendly guides. Jeremiah is doing research on owls and we witnessed his observations, knowledge and owls calls. We plan on doing this again on our next trip. Thanks for a wonderful initiation into snowshoe and the area.

Really enjoyed our walk, however the Yampatika website uses a system from Active Advantage that unless you are very careful enrolls you in an annual $99.99 subscription. Yampatika is aware of this and the negative experience it causes for it's users but still continues to use this system.
