My nephews take tennis, gymnastics, as well as attend summer camps here- the instructors are great! Very friendly and super knowledgeable, they are both SO good and my nephews steadily show improvement. The facility is wonderful as well, with plenty of parking and easy access being close to the Dan Ryan and off State Street.

My friends and I participated in the Adult Pickleball event at XS Tennis tonight and had a blast!! We hope that events like this will continue. We met a lot of people and had such a great time. What a healthy alternative to other Friday night outings! Jennifer Murray was such friendly and accommodating host and made sure that everyone was having fun and had everything they needed. I would highly recommend this facility and event for others to enjoy.

Went to a tournament here and they input the wrong score. I reached out to them numerous times and they ghosted me. DON'T sign up for a tournament here if you care about your results being input accurately or if you care about customer service.

I wish I had read the recent reviews! Similar experience as others. Signed my daughter up for a class only to have it cancelled the day of with no notice given to us. No alternatives given just that we have to hope they find a replacement coach. I asked for a refund only to be hold we have to pay 3 months membership as a cancellation fee?! So now I'm out $250+ between the initiation fee and the cancellation fee! Nothing but a money grab if you ask me. And yes, good luck talking to the owner. The employees just do what they are told. This place is unreal

**IF YOU HAVE HAD A PROBLEM WITH XS TENNIS FILE A COMPLAINT WITH THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU** IT IS EASY TO DO AND FORCES THE BUSINESS TO ADDRESS YOUR ISSUE.

Unfortunately I had nearly the exact same experience as Doren. I called to cancel my membership in May 2022 (I have the phone records to prove this) and my card continued to be charged for nearly two more years, without my consent. I repeatedly called the club to speak to someone and nearly every person I spoke with from the front desk was unprofessional, rude, condescending, and arrogant.

I finally reached Jennifer Murray, who was incredibly rude and refused to refund my money. So this business charged my credit card WITHOUT MY CONSENT, REPEATEDLY, and they will not refund my money? THAT'S FRAUD.

She continued to imply that it was my fault my membership wasn't cancelled. "It's very easy to cancel a membership," she kept repeating--exactly, so why wasn't mine cancelled? She confirmed that a cancellation via phone was sufficient to cancel the membership. Furthermore, the ease or difficulty with which a membership can be cancelled does not matter; I followed the appropriate steps to cancel the membership and it was not cancelled. In subsequent interactions she tried to BACKTRACK and state that email confirmation is also required to cancel--this was simply not true at the time I was a member.

More about my interaction with Jennifer Murray:
-She was incredibly rude, condescending, and yelled at me on the phone
-She hung up in my face to end the call while I was still talking
-She refuses to call me back and ignores my emails
-She stated that if I provided her with phone records proving that I called to cancel, she would investigate further--when I did this, she stated that she actually would not be doing anything else regarding the matter
-Her documented "evidence" against me is a word document with one line stating that email is required to cancel membership, something she clearly wrote in one minute AFTER THE FACT

I had no choice at this point but to file a credit card claim--now that I've done that, she has stated that all chances of a refund with XS tennis are not possible. Sounds like a weak excuse if you ask me-- a credit card claim doesn't preclude you doing the right thing...

I have also filed a complaint with the BBB, which is still pending and engaged a lawyer. I ENCOURAGE ANYONE WHO HAS HAD A PROBLEM WITH XS TENNIS TO FILE A COMPLAINT WITH THE BBB. That is the only way to get their attention and actually have them respond to you professionally.

None of these even addresses my experience as a member there, which includes:
-Frequently booking 8am courts (when the business opens) because that is the only time I can play before work, and having to wait in the freezing cold as the person opening the tennis center was consistently 15 minutes late (I always lost court time)
-One time the person opening was 20 minutes late and arrived in pajamas and hair rollers, clearly having just woken up while me and three other people waited outside in the Chicago winter to get inside for our courts
-Booking a ball machine only to find out once I am on court that it does not work
-Contacting someone from the website about a clinic only to have her reply that she has not worked there in two years
-Being double charged for court bookings
-Consistently being told that I was playing on the wrong court, resulting in confusion and lost court time

I have warned all of you--they WILL steal your money, one way or another.
