I got a regular pedicure and gel manicure today. Maya did my pedicure with help from Karen and the instructor, Ms. Shannon. Karen and Maya were very sweet and interactive. Kalynda did my gel manicure. Everything was done with great care and precision from the students and the instructor. It did take a while though. My service took 4.5 hours. I was not expecting that, so my strength was diminished from not eating for so long by the time I left. They have a vending machine but the card reader doesn't work, so bring cash in case you need to use it. Shannon brought me water because it was all she had to offer me, and I really appreciated that. Overall, everyone was very polite and professional, and though I didn't get my hair done, I'd like to come back to try it out because I saw at least 3 girls do a great job on their clients' silk presses.

Mixed views.... First time I went in my hair color was so bad I had to go back to get it fixed. It wasnt blended at all and the instructor should've noticed but I had already been there over 5 hours and was in total shock in how bad the color itself and how poorly it was done. Basically I had spent a ton of money to look like Neopolitan Ice Cream instead of a fall bayalage. Everyone I ran into commented on how horrible it looked.

So since it was Saturday I had to wait til Tuesday to go back. Went back Tuesday night and they did an amazing job fixing the worst cut and color of my life.

I understand theyre learning but on the Saturday there was no supervision, no nothing. I assumed she was maybe a teacher or knew what she was doing and thats why she didn't receive teaching...i was wrong.

If you go, go at night. I wanna say her name was Moony? The instructor....she was AMAZING, only reason there are any stars

This school appears to be just money hungry. I entered and withfldrew from the program and they are taking forever very to issue me a refund. According to their policy, I was supposed to been have had it.

Rebecca is a liar. She told me I would get it in 30 days. So I call back and she says within 45. We'll it's been over 45 days and they had the nerve to call me with a fake zip code when she repeated my address...but allegedly my check is coming.

Still to no avail, no check. I asked when was the check mailed and she said she didn't know. So at this point I'm going to contact the Private School Division Board because they are in total violation of their own policy.

Rebecca stated he just needed to print the check. If that's the case, why hold it for this long and expect me not to complain about $3000?

Honestly won’t go back, my hair color turned out badly, the cut was good but I was so disappointed in the color, I cried in my car after I left to go to my baby shower looking bad. The instructors don’t pay close attention to the students during services. Took almost 4 hours to do my hair when I told them I needed to go because I was gonna be late to my baby shower if they couldn’t go any faster, my hair is very short. The instructor didn’t look at my hair during color process or when she was done styling it. The experience was not the best and I think other hair schools focus on customer service a lot more than this place. I’m so upset with how my hair looks. I just wanted to go from dark brown to lighter brown but she darkened it instead and my roots were so oily when I left. Literally left with tears down my face. Never going back. I don’t want any of my baby shower pictures with me in it so I won’t remember how horrible I looked. Bad school and customer service. The student doing my hair was nice and I think she did good shampooing my hair but I don’t blame her for the color issue, I blame the instructor who seemed to be uninterested in helping her students.

Dear Rebecca,

You are VERY RUDE. During my time at the school (which was very short) this school was very UNORGANIZED (had to borrow books), arguments and fights a lot during my short time. Would you as a person want to deal with any school like this? Rebecca and the director are just here from the money. Please remove me from receiving emails and text from your school. Oh yes to get a transcript of your information you will go through HELL. Most unorganized SCHOOL EVER. ALSO THEY WASH THE TOWELS FOR HAIR AND THE MAT FROM THE BOTTOM OF THE MOP TOGETHER & THE MOP THEY HAD US USING TO CLEAN IS DEFINITELY A FIRE HAZARD.

I recently attended Winonah as a student and to say I enjoyed my experience would be a lie. The teachers are nice but some of the staff above them seemingly do not care about their students at all. If you have a passion for cosmetology this is not the school for you. It will raise your stress levels tenfold. It is ridiculous how often there are altercations between students and staff for various reason. I do not want to be trying to do my work and have to deal with a loud cussing behind me between two individuals discussing something I have no part of. From safety concerns with outlet wiring & a student getting electrocuted or upset students challenging staff or even students having issues with one another & a firearm being brought into the building this is NOT the school for you. Please attend a different school if you are genuinely looking to pursue cosmetology. The kits are poorly supplied, the learning environment is the bare minimum and your stress levels will be through the roof.

Taylor did an amazing job on my natural hair.. make no mistakes this pretty white girl can do some natural hair. Big s/o to her.. if I could give her 10 stars I would. To the teacher with the army pants, trust your student! Give props when due, Taylor is a star in the making!
