This really was a great school our kids were being treated so poorly in public schools, after looking into it we decided to go here. Our Kids did really well. Teachers were great and welcoming.
Since Mr. Spicer took over as principle this school has gone down hill. Kids are not as happy good teachers were dismissed and the joy of learning became depressing for kids. Money his his top pride and doing whatever it takes to get it, is how he lives. We had great staff who loved going to work and once he was in. It was about cheap staff. He ruined this beautiful school of learning and it's heart breaking

We have been part of this school for seven years and have seen a lot of changes. Our daughter is doing amazing in this school. She has developed further than I would of ever believe. Her test scores place at the top for the nation and many other kids in the class place the same. The principal is doing great things for the growth of these children. And the school is still doing everything it can to improve. Keep up the good work.

My children have attended west ridge academy for 5 years now and we couldn’t be happier. They have continued to amaze us with their academic abilities and west ridge is the base of that. The staff know my children by name, and care about their safety and education. In my opinion West Ridge is by far the best school in the district!!

We just had our second set of conferences for the year with our 7th grade son and can't say enough good things. The teachers really know your student. They know who his friends are, how he functions in a group, and what makes him tick.

Tests are a part of the evaluation but the approach is human which is very refreshing! They tailor an approach that is creative yet academically-driven. My son is thriving thanks to their caring staff.

Man this place went downhill.

An older Principal quit because some of the staff had concerns about racism after rejecting certain kids. It turns out he wasn't judging them by their race because the year those new kids were let in, the amount of idiocy at the campus doubled instantly. This also resulted in increased bullying (which was already annoying since there were already rich jerks who probably paid their way through the entry test that were enough of a problem).

Now kids are getting caught doing drugs.

The teachers are absolutely amazing, they really care about the kids. But ever since John took over, the good teachers have left, the school has gone very downhill. If John left, I would be willing to give them a second chance.

It was the worst year ever for my grandkids . It has totally turned my grandson off from school. Heartbreaking. My daughter and her family now leaving the state so they can afford for her to stay home and homeschool the kids. Some really good teachers and some horrible. So disappointed with Mr. Spicer. I blame him. Shockingly bad experience with this school. Thanks Mr. Spicer.
