I take my children to some of their one-day family activities each season. My children have also completed more than 4 ballet classes, one dance and cheer class, and one hip-hop class. So far, the instructors have been very professional and friendly. The program coordinators have been helpful when we need to cancel a class before it begins. They worked with me when my kids' school schedule interfered with the Park District class. They are a great team!

The park district summer camp is a joke. My son is a "Bowen Ranger" currently there is a waitlist with only 2 other kids his grade in his group, which makes no sense. During the registration process they lost our paperwork a week before camp starts and we had to go to the field house and redo the whole thing. They say on Wednesdays they take the kids to the splash pad (you'd assume the Belvidere one but you would be wrong) there is 2 little sprinklers at the one they go to with 10 other kids, my 10 year old didn't even wanna go and play in it. And today takes the cake, they threw my kids lunch out because it was peanut butter and jelly. Instead of letting him eat his food and then call us and explain that they "don't allow peanuts on the property" they decided to stop him in the beginning of lunch in front of his peers and throw his sandwich out before we could take a bite. "We offered him the chicken nuggets" well that's great he doesn't eat chicken my kid is extremely picky and you took one of the few things he would eat away from him. Honestly these camps are def on the cheaper side but you seriously pay for what you get $150 a week for them to throw my money out and do the bare minimum.

Just watched a video on YouTube. I think his name is John Beckman and rest of the staff are outstanding respectful and very kind the building is extremely clean and extremely beautiful if I ever moved to that city I'll be sure to sign my children for sure 😁 thank you for your professionalism and your duty

The park is enjoyable would be a bit better if there were more than two port-a-potty in the area or at least a real bathroom to the public. I hated having to go to my car and change my baby on a reclined passenger seat. The only part that is kid friendly is the playground.

The Waukegan Park District is FANTASTIC! From the playgrounds, to the Field House, Pool, Events, and programming for kids- it's all high-quality! There are so many options for everyone in the community to be involved in some kind of activity! The Waukegan Park District really works hard to improve and better our town!

I have got to give 2 thumbs to one of the Aquatics Specialist, Jennifer C. Mainly because of the way she handled an issue that came up. She was very professional, and made sure she made things right for me and my family. Her follow up with the solution was speedy. That is rare in itself. Anyone else would have told us how busy the business is and that they would follow up as soon as possible. She gave us a timeline and it was followed to a T. For this reason, i will definitely purchase future swim lessons for my children. Thanks Jennifer C. for being so professional and approchable!

I believe that Waukegan has one of the most parks in all of northern illinois and I still wish it had more with more plants and flowers etc but I still appreciate the ones we currently have. WPD please do not ever take down a park. In fact add one here and there but never take away. In our current lifestyle we need more places where the kids and adult can relax and enjoy the summer we have. I've gone to almost every park in Waukegan from King to Bevier and I appreciate them AND their size. I've been to other cities like Elgin N.Chicago Gurnee Zion Highland Park Highwood Lake forest and none have the amount that we do

I will never rent again at Belvidere Park .... Bad customer service toward the elderly and very rude and very mean. I had an event for my mother’s repass and I had so many complaints. It use to be a great location to go but now the facility has no compassion at all....
