Mr. Wagner was truly a life savior. As a single mother with a full time job, and having never been to college myself, I needed all the college help I could get for my child. I was given his contact by a fellow parent that I respect a lot, so I knew then we were in good hands. Mr. Wagner immediately took action; he began getting to know my son in order to match him with the perfect schools along with many other great things. He organized a list of schools that matched our income and my son’s study interests. From start to end he was on it, he knew which schools to apply to early decision, early action and regular decision as well as the due dates. He met with my son once a week and encouraged him to do the work while still keeping a close eye to ensure everything was turned in on time. I can’t express how thankful I am for this. I 100% recommend Mr. Wagner and his services. It’s crucial for maintaining a healthy relationship with a teen child.

I had an extremely frustrating experience with Wagner Prep. I signed up for their SAT prep program expecting a structured and effective approach, but the lessons felt disorganized and rushed. The tutors didn’t seem prepared, and their explanations were unclear. The study materials they provided were outdated and not relevant to the test format. When I reached out to customer service for help, I received no useful response. I definitely don’t feel like I got my money’s worth, and I won’t be recommending this service.

I have been working with Michael Wagner for almost a year through my college admissions process and don't know what I would have done without his help. I went into my first meeting with him without any clear path on where I wanted to go or what I wanted to major in, and have ended up with scholarships from multiple schools. He helped me to develop the story and narrative of my Common App essay while also teaching me incredibly helpful writing skills. Michael was also incredibly helpful in navigating out-of-state application portals, such as the University of California and California State. He truly dedicates time to his students, providing us with spreadsheets to compile our lists of schools, and templates to draw up essays we need to write. Michael Wagner has been able to make the complicated and tedious college application process much more manageable for not only myself, but my family as well.

Wagner Prep has been a great resource for my stepdaughter in preparing for the upcoming SATs. She finds both of her tutors engaging and knowledgeable, and is excited to learn from both of them. Mike Wagner is also so great! Always available to answer questions and really has made the process of finding tutoring a breeze. Excited to see how she does with the SATs in December, but I am confident she'll be adequately prepared.

My son started with an 1100 on his PSAT. Then signed up with Wagner for Math and English sessions with Marley and Alex. He jumped to a 1340 on the first SAT and 1370 on the second. His super score is 1420.
My son sometimes tries to take shortcuts, but the tutors were really good at keeping him on track. I was alerted when they felt that he was not fully invested in his homework.
We have one more SAT in Oct, before ED - he’s working towards a 1500.
I would highly recommend Wagner Prep!

Throughout my whole time working with Mike, I felt very structured. He helped me work past my procrastination and make sure I was submitting a worthy application on time. At times where I was unsure how to go about writing, he would jot down ideas, or write a draft essay. He is extremely talented and could turn my most basic writing into an intriguing essay. He stuck with me through my mental blocks and helped me break down my ideas to focus on the most important parts. Without him, most of my applications would be lacking the driving factors that colleges are searching for. Overall, I highly recommend him as a college counselor because of his attentiveness, creativity, organization, and patience.
