This May be a long Review, but it will be Honest in every aspect... I know my 3yo child is not prefect, which child is? my child was enrolled in this day care for about a year and a half and here is all the issues we ran into.. First when he was in the 2yo room. it was "we love your child so much, your child is so smart, then it got to "well, your child throws a fit and screams if he is having a hard time, can we call you and have you talk and help calm them down"
the treats to disenroll him started at potty training, "if your child is not fully potty trained by the time he is three, we will have to disenroll him. Well, We made it to the 3yo class room without him getting disenrolled. but every now and again, he would still throw a fit (as three years old do). but, at this point they stepped up and realized the three year old classroom was not challenging enough for him, so they put him in with the four year old classroom, where he thrived, little to no throwing fits, learning how to trace shapes and letters, bringing home papers of his daily accomplishments.(wait for it) then they decided (because of their policy for 4yo room must be able to fully dress and undress themselves) they put him back in the 3yo room. the other factor being they didn't want to "challenge him to much and get ahead of the rest of the kids his age. isn't that what Schools and educators are supposed to help with? I mean " Valley LEARING center. Its in their name.
so Now we are back in the 3yo room. within a week, he had his first 3yo fit, and a teacher tried to calm him down, and my son hit the teacher on the arm. Ok, As parents, we do not condone this, and we tried as hard as we could to make sure this doesn't happen again. we were immediately called to to come pick him up.. once we picked him Up, this is when the Director, Kelsey decided to add her medical advise and ask my wife if we have had him tested for ADHD or AUTISM. Umm you are not aloud to give those types of Diagnosis, you do not have a degree that allows you to. and by the other reviews on here, its not the only time she has done it. This is when the treats of disenrolling him started again. The very next day, we went to pick him up, I joined my wife for pickup, and Kelsey was just stopping short of getting on her Knees apologizing for recommending we get him evaluated, Which is proof she knew what she did was wrong.. I can go on to say, My wife works in the medical field and has worked hand in hand with children with Autism. So Prior to even being at VLC he has been seen and diagnosed as a very typical 2 and 3yo boy.
so Over the Next 7 months. we had one more comment from Kelsey about Evaluation of our child. We had three more instances where my child hit a teacher, they will tolerate my son being sent home at the end of the day with bite marks and being hit by multiple other children and not disenrolling those kids because "well, this does happen with kids" Where do you think he learned to hit? wasn't from our house. he has no other younger siblings that can teach him.
So We got a final call From Kelsey a few weeks ago asking us to Come pick him up because he hit a teacher again (the fourth time) and they were disenrolling him.. I do Not need to go into the next part of the conversation, when we picked him up, But I will say, the conversation between Kelsey, My Wife and myself, is fully recorded, since i trust a drug addict more than I do anything that comes from Kelsey mouth...
Kelly (the owner) says her teachers have "certifications and training" to be able to give medical advise. There are no "certifications that allow you to Diagnose Autism or ADHD only degrees. Kelly Then asked why I had my son there is we weren't nappy. Well, As i told you Kelly. Lack of options. any business is only as good as their ownership and management. There are a few great teachers there. So If you have a normal child that throws fits and acts their age, this is not the place. Kelsey Wont tolerate it.
