I have to express my disappointment with this organization. As a Black individual, I've noticed a lack of organization and a tendency to withhold information from those who need resources. I've called multiple times without receiving a response, including their hotline for apprenticeships. This lack of responsiveness is frustrating and contributes to the perception that funding cuts, like those proposed by Trump, are justified. It's disheartening to see a lack of professionalism, and I believe setting up an online platform for submitting information for rental assistance and apprenticeship applications would provide much-needed relief. It's unfortunate that I've lost respect for this organization and the state due to these issues.

The manager of my low-income disabled senior building is trying to break her promise to allow me an extra week to move so I could attend my father's memorial service and the person who called me back from the fair housing program couldn't even disguise the apathy in her voice enough to convincingly apologize for her lack of interest in anything other than her impatience about being distracted from computer solitaire. "That sounds like a legal issue and unfortunately..."Yeah it's a legal issue but primarily a moral issue...don't you advocate for people in situations like this..." "Well, only if you feel like you're being discriminated against," "Uh, yeah, I would say I'm being discriminated against," "Unfortunately we can't do anything about discrimination," "Well why did you bring it up then?" Never mind. Don't let me distract you from the important business of wasting time and squandering charitable donations you've deceptively solicited by pretending to be morally invested in anything more substantial than what toppings to get on your pizza.

This is a cold blooded organization. Only reason I gave 1 star just leave a review. They get 33 million dollars to not call people back that's in need of assistance.

This is the absolute WORST organization in Portland and of course its minority based. This how it works, if you need rent help, you call in on Wednesday, leave a message about your needs. You then have to hope someone calls you back, sounds easy right? Well. If they call you back, they take your info and tell you, you have to wait 2 more days to see if you're eligible. You can have an eviction notice, court ordered and still not get a call back. They take you through so many hoops to wait for TWO phone calls. while you're stressing over your living situation. Of course, the ONLY BLACK ORGANIZATION would take you through hoops like this. I have called since March, even had call backs but no follow ups. I lost my apartment. What's the purpose of this organization? If you are a minority and seeking culturally specific help, you will be wasting your time. Stick to white owned and operated organizations, catholic churches, TPI or similar. Your own people do NOT care about you!!! This organization is the worst thing I have ever seen in my life.

They say that help with rent. And other programs. But you do what your supposed to do on your end. And all they give u is the run around. And will give u all the excuses in the world why this didn't happen. And they mix ur paper with other people. So they are horrible ass hell. And then have the nerves to tell you to call other places to help with rent. When you've done all that was supposed to be done. There a joke.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE shelter. The only reason I even gave it one star is because you have to rate it. It's supposed to be a covid shelter they barely do temp checks they don't do room checks. For crying out loud a lady was dead in her room for 4 days and instead of going in there to check if she was okay they just kept brushing people off including her daughter and the police. The manager of the shelter talks down to you like your beneath her. Staff try to bring it to the higher ups but they brushed it off and gave the manager a couple days off. The list goes on and on.

They are always barging into your home they never give notice, talk down to you threaten you with DHS, belittle you, harassment, scare them and yell at them as if the ones they help with rent means they now have complete control over their lifes and if they dont like it then they will call DHS and you will lose your child. So they keep the ones they pay rent for in fear. And bullie them. I am exstreamly mad about how kyle Hill speeks to my family it is not ok and i intent to make sure he knows his place.
