IF YOU'RE LOOKING TO DROP YOUR KIDS OFF IN THE MIDDLE OF THE WOODS TO PARTY.......... Parkside is the right choice.
This school is completely underqualified to guide our next generation.
The lack of support and Direction is overwhelming.
Two of my children attended for only ONE TERM. I helped them transfer to a better equipped learning environment. Not even a year after they transferred, both daughters are being garnished between $1000-$4500.
The daughter that owes the most left due to a mental health issue and due to NO SUPPORT (after trying to contact their mental health care services/student advisor....... With NEVER an answer back) She left school.
Faculty is RARELY AVAILABLE........ for any reason....... When you do contact anyone....... they simple can't help you/student.
There are simply to many incidents and this review would never end.....(example my daughter had an abscess due to her wisdom tooth...they didn't have a medical staff/resource to help.... see was told to find a doctor in Kenosha and find a way to get there herself even though she's not from Kenosha.) I wish I would have never sent them to Parkside.
The DEAN claimed they gave her a refund for half of her total cost that she owed. Parkside's tuition is around $7000 per term....... My daughter attended for 2 MONTHS of the term....... HOW DOES SHE OWN THIS SCHOOL $4500........... THIS seems like FRAUD

Despite the campus and student life being nice, I rated this college poorly because of the horrible experience I had attending during and after Covid. I came to a Professorâs office hours & had the door slammed in my face, despite being told I could come in. The advisor I was given for my classes had no idea what he was doing. He had me signed up for classes that werenât even associated with my major. On top of this, he was unable to give me any guidance on finding resources in order to get to the solution myself. I requested multiple times to have these issues resolved and they never were, so I moved on.

It gets two stars for a few shining star faculty members but otherwise one for everything else. Overall, this place is not good. It continues to offer poorly developed programs that they will try to market as good (the entire business college, most stem majors, etc.), it has bad housing, and not great administration. If you have a bullying issue they will not take care of it. If you have a sexual harassment claim against a teacher, they will not do anything about it. These things are either from personal or anecdotal of others experiences. The environment also does not harbor a friendly, inviting atmosphere. There is no real sense of community or school pride unless you happen to be an athlete. The only reason to go here is for cost reasons, but even then it might be worth it to go to a more costly school since college is an investment in yourself and this is a really bad investment. The real world connections are slim and the already small class offerings are really bad. I will actively campaign to all of my high school students that i teach in kenosha to not go to this school. Reconsider your choice if you think about going here.

My niece is not taking classes this term because Admissions fumbled. Thatâs the only reason. Conflicting information from staff as to which documents are needed. Supervisors out of office, too busy, or at lunch. This was unnecessary, and she could be taking classes right now. With so many options these days, especially online, look elsewhere.

Housing here is horrible. They do not know how to properly do their job.
I complained about the cleaning staff (A man & woman) coming into my room without prior notice. In the UW-Parkside handbook it states, âreasonable effort will be made to give 24-hour notice before the service or inspection is performedâ. Housing violated their own handbook and NOTHING WAS DONE ABOOUT THAT. On top of that I am a victim of sexual assault and when I hear a stranger coming into my room without any notice that is very traumatic for me.
Housing has a problem with solving issues unless it will directly affect them. If it does not affect them or their money they will not do anything about it.
The housing department employs an African American man, and one might expect him to positively represent minorities and advocate for minority students. Unfortunately, this is not the case. His actions align closely with those of the white administrators who disregard unresolved concerns from the student body. He seems to conform to their directives without addressing the diverse needs of the students effectively.
One day, the dean may encounter someone who will challenge their lack of respect, and this could ultimately impact the institutionâs financial stability.

Took courses here when in high school and during summer breaks in college. Very convenient location for folks commuting from either Kenosha or Racine.

Amazing school with even more amazing professors. I still keep in contact with a lot of them. This school really helped me build a strong pre med foundation which got me into medical school. Highly recommend.

A much as it's a nice and very pretty campus (which is why I am giving it a generous score), some of the professors that I have had do not seem to care about your education. No doubt, there are good professors there who are excited to help you succeed in the class you are taking. However, there are some that in the classes they teach, I haven't learned a single thing in the class and some of the professors don't even talk about the class they are teaching half the time during the lecture. I am only here because I am a commuter but hopefully in the near future, I can get out of here for a school that takes their students a little more seriously. The only thing I have yet to learn from attending here is to not let looks deceive you.
