Google Trading Academy Scam. The FTC a filed lawsuit against Online Trading Academy, alleging that they defrauded people of approximately $400 million since 2014, and around $600 million prior to that. Trading academy would allegedly lure unsuspecting consumers into professional-looking offices, made to appear as proprietary trading offices. Victims would spend around $60,000 and be forced into high-interest loans. The FTC found that around 75% of the 4,800 trading accounts opened by Online Trading Academy customers lost an average of 95%, typically drained within six months.

Another Red Flag is their company president Josh Lillquist. A Former Roto router employee who was accused of fraud.

But be careful for the free class & then get you to sign sign up the $299 3 days course when on their website is $99... Do they got something to teach? Of course they do. It's more for someone that doesn't have the will to learn them selfs by all the free information out there. Bashing YouTube videos for learning of the plateform yet all the basics terms knowledge, support and resistance/supply and demand zones , exits stop losses all can be found online and already know about pretty much what they were talking about... The crazy part not upfront with pricing the paper they give you says 19k for a core strategy class yet you go to the website again and it's 8k... Nothing different than a YouTube video on how to trade like institutions.
Tuitions are so high for such information you can find online if you really are motivated. It would be near impossible for the average Joe to afford a 35-100k tuition at a 12-18%apr and still be able to afford everyday life on top of trying to fund a actual real trading account, on top of the parasitic interest rate behind that 35-100k loan.
If they all trading so well why are they working on recruiting on the weekends. Because they make more money recruiting than they can by trading them selfs. Tell me anyone in the world that manages to trade successfully & would still want a 9-5 job as they call it because they are doing the same thing as they talk to you for 8 hours.. Pretty interesting tactics they use. Would of probably went ahead with the course if they would of been upfront and not exaggerating the price on paper only to make it seem like your getting a killer deal from 19k to 8k when that's the actual price from the get go.

When I was looking to sign up to learn at OTA I came to the Google reviews to see what people thought. I saw an overwhelming number of 5 star reviews and nothing but great things said about the center and the staff. I thought that perhaps they were offering some sort of incentive for students to leave reviews. Now, 4 months and 4 classes later I can tell you that without a doubt these reviews are genuine and that students are in no way obligated to say these nice things about the center. I've taken Market Timing Orientation with Justin, Core Strategy with Kelly and NIkki, Futures with Todd, and Forex with Jody and my experience with all of them has been top notch! They are all professional traders with a strong desire to give back and help others. The student support staff is unlike any school I've been to, they are phenomenal! Help is available any time you need it. When you invest in your education to learn this skill, you don't just get a class and some training materials. You are joining a large community of like minded and similarly trained professionals all over the world, all with the same desire to help others succeed. The owner of the Denver center, John, is one of the kindest people I've met. He's there taking care of staff and students even on the weekends.

I've been an OTA student since 2020 learning the strategy to trade the markets especially futures but there are a lot of programs available like forex, futures, options, stocks, and cryptocurrency.
I like the way they teach, and I've learned a lot, I keep attending available classes as much as I can and also take the ones available online, the instructors are awesome and they are all very nice people.

I started with OTA in June 2019, taking Core Strategy, Futures, and the Trade Plan class so far. The instructors, education, and support are outstanding and well worth the investment. The classes are engaging and everyone at the center is welcoming, knowledge, and encouraging. They really do provide everything needed to be successful. The reason I am giving this place a bad review is not because of their lack of knowledge on trading. I had signed up for the forex trading program years ago and paid in full completely and sometimes I use the online resources as a review. Recently in the past 2 years I signed up for the options program and put my payments for the program on hold while I was out of country. I communicated to them the situation I was in, but they still locked my whole account, and I can't even access any of the content I paid a lot of money for. They promised when I signed that the content would be free for life, and it looks like they are breaking promises here. There used to be a whole different group of people working here and it's changed a lot.

Denver Online Trading Academy continues to impress me after graduating from its Professional 4X Trader Class. I continue to take advantage of post graduate meet ups which are free to graduates of any of its trading courses. The instructors are extremely knowledgeable and take the time to answer any and all questions asked by its students and graduates. I find this support essential as well as unexpected. How many businesses do you know that offer lifetime retake of courses, for free? And how many offer free meetups, indefinitely? I wish I would have found OTA in high school.
