We couldn't be more pleased with the results my son achieved working with Thais at Top Score Education. My son previously participated at a local SAT bootcamp for 6 weeks which was a waste of his time and our money!

Peter Y. not only supported my child to raise his ACT score in some areas by 10 points, but also knew how to coach my son to have greater confidence in his own ability. We cannot praise Top Score and coach David Sheldon enough! They saved my son’s college application process, then they helped make it a memorable process for our family.

We had another SAT tutor for our son, for about 6 months but his score was stagnant (1360s). Not convinced and very last minute. In September 2024, we found Top Score through a family friend and when working with coach Sheldon, my son’s SAT score had improved to 1470!

My son had told me that Top Score has a set of rules, for instance, if you execute some answer choices, your speed will improve instantly! That together with coach Sheldon’s experience and expertise in identifying and tackling down mistakes make a MAGIC FORMULA.

After six lessons with coach Sheldon, he maxed out my son’s math score to 780 and the grammar parts to 800!

As my son kept going, coach Sheldon started to address his weaknesses in the reading and vocabulary. However, my son decided last minute that he was happy with his score and wanted to go onto applying for early action. So within the next 2 weeks, coach Sheldon went above and beyond to help him with one main essay and multiple supplementals! My son was able to make the November 1st deadline and was able to apply to 5 different colleges, all within coach Sheldon’s help!

I cannot express how much me and my family appreciate coach Sheldon. During the whole process, he was never just another tutor; but a mentor who was interested in developing my son to become a better learner, a confident college student, and a grateful human being!

I will definitely recommend coach David Sheldon and Top Score to all of my family and friends. Me and family trust their process and confidence that their experience and knowledge is above and beyond! They have earned another loyal customer for life!

We had an excellent experience working with Phillip Smith with TopScore, as our son prepared for the ACT. Phillip was incredibly patient, encouraging, and effective in helping our son improve his scores significantly. He tailored his teaching to meet our son’s needs, which was particularly important because he has ADHD, focusing not only on mastering the content but also on developing strong test-taking strategies that boosted both confidence and performance.

Phillip was also extremely responsive to our questions throughout the process. He took the time to explain in great detail his plans for our son, outlining areas of focus, strengths, and weaknesses, so we always understood the roadmap. He consistently kept us updated on progress and sent reminders to both us and our son to ensure he stayed on top of his prep work, which helped keep everything on track.

Top Score helped my daughter to achieve her goal score on the ACT. She did online test prep sessions with Peter. Peter is particularly good with prepping for the math section. All sessions started on time, and Peter is very responsive to emails if you have questions. One thing I really like about Top Score is that your test prep will be tailored to your child's needs. In other words, you don't have to spend time and money prepping for the parts of the ACT that your child doesn't need help with. A big thank you to Top Score and Peter!

Thais at Top Score worked with both of my daughters and is responsible for raising my first child's ACT score from a 1110 PSAT to a 33 ACT, and the second from a 1170 PSAT to a 1510 SAT!!!
