Plum Hill is an incredible place for little ones to learn and grow. We've been very happy with the care and attention each of our kids get. At a previous daycare we struggled with drop off but we never see that at Plum Hill; the learning is tailored to the kids' interests and they're excited to enter their classroom each day looking for what has been set up for them. We get multiple updates each day via an app and regular parent communication about what each class is working on. There are community events like the fall festival shared with other campuses and the a movie outing organized by a teacher. I highly recommend Plum Hill to families looking for a daycare or school offering intentional, play-based learning

My child has been attending Thrive PH for almost a year and a half and we love it! All of the teachers are so wonderful and caring, and I never have any doubts that my daughter is in a safe a nurturing environment. I love the play based curriculum and the importance of spending time outside every day. This preschool is a neighborhood gem and my family feels lucky to have landed here!

My son has been attending Plum Hill for almost a year and it’s been a great experience for his first year in school. I like that the curriculum is play-based and he is thriving academically and socially. He’s made tons of friends and I’m pleased with the relationship he’s created with his teacher.

This school has lived up to its name as I have seen him thrive since day one. Mickey is such an amazing teacher. It’s obvious that she loves each of the kids in her class and wants to give them her best. I wish I could take her with me when my son starts kindergarten in the fall!. Highly recommend Thrive.

As a former educator, I can not say enough wonderful things about Plum Hill Preschool. We have 4 children and have had several preschool experiences all over town over the years. We love everything about Plum Hill! The staff are friendly and educated. The "feel" of the school is very calm, clean and organized. We love the philosophy behind the school which is a mixture of the best parts of Waldorf, Reggio and play based. They understand the importance of unstructured play and facilitate learning based on what the children show interest in. The children go outside to play and visit the two goats Poppy and Pearl daily. The teachers seem very in tune with what is typical developmental behavior and deal with behaviors with loving redirection (we are in the youngest class). I also love the mostly wood toys instead of plastic toys that sing and flash. I really can't say enough about how happy we are with the school. My two kiddos run into school each morning and lovingly hug each teacher at the end of every day. I feel confident that they are happy and safe while they are there. I would highly recommend!

I absolutely love this school!!! My daughter spent the first 2 years of her life being taken care of by her grandma while I worked, and she didn’t bat an eye the first day I dropped her off at Plum Hill. Plum Hill is warm and inviting. The teachers are professional and knowledgeable. I couldn’t say enough good things about this place. From the Little Gardens, Goats, to the artwork hanging all over the walls...You can feel how different this school is. I appreciate their theory on Play Based Teaching/Instruction but more than anything I love that I never second guess that my daughter is in a safe environment and being cared for by people that truly care about her! I’m so grateful to have found such a wonderful place to jump start my daughters education!

This is my opinion so please no negative feedback, thank you! I feel like this center gave me pros and cons when I used to work here in my classroom, I feel like there was no structure and the philosophy was a little confusing trying to understand it fully. I feel like the kids just play all morning and afternoon and do not learn much even though this center on their website said that the philosophy is about play bass. When they are playing, they are learning, and then the lead teacher sees what kind of provocation she wants to do for the students so they can really enjoy it when they are playing.

I’m a person that is used to having lesson plans and teaching the kids in circle time so they are ready for kindergarten later on. But I guess this center is not for everyone and we have lost several lead teachers and assistant teachers in one of the classroom. I hope someone who applies to this center really likes this center and really likes their Philosophy. Good luck! to whoever applies here 😊.
