As a student, I have been under Ms. Kim's tutelage for only three years, yet it seems like it has been far longer. With wonderful opportunities to learn, through the classes, student volunteer group think&help, and the music group THINK SYMPHONY, I was able to grow as a student, leader, and most importantly as a person here. I really enjoy the small tight knit community think&write offers, unlike other learning centers that often create an "only here to learn" atmosphere. Overall, I highly recommend this place for not only being a place of education, but also being a place to build character.

I am a student who has been going to Think and Write for about 3 years now. Over the course of my time at this learning center, I feel that I have grown from who I once was. I used to be very shy and didn't speak up a lot in class, but now I can speak freely without worrying about being judged. Mrs. Kim encouraged me to work on my public speaking, and being apart of her class also helped me with this. Not only with speaking but with critical analysis as well. Furthermore, she assisted me with Scholastic awards and helped me win a gold key, which is pretty cool. I would recommend Think and Write to students who want to learn how to write better, speak better and overall become a better person.

Think and Write is a great academic learning place and has helped me so much throughout the short time I have been here! When I first came I was very skeptical and timid, not knowing how her teaching methods were. After my first class I was very surprised at how nice and welcoming Ms.Kim was. She made me feel so welcomed and I really enjoy all her lessons. I have learned so much in her classes and always use them in real life scenarios. She didn’t just help me improve academically—she completely changed how I see myself. I remember coming to Long Island feeling very isolated since I was suddenly put into an environment with none of my close friends or anyone I knew. I’ve been attending THINK & WRITE for 4 years now, and it’s been a great experience. As a student, I’ve grown significantly from the teachers here in both mathematics and English. It’s definitely an immersive center, and I recommend for students who are looking for rigorous learning. Students are also able to grow personality-wise and gain confidence. As a student who has been in think & write for three years, I have benefited greatly. For most of my life, I have been lost—whether in family matters, my relationship with my parents, or my personal life and studies. As a sensitive teenager, being in this stage of confusion and uncertainty nearly made me want to give up everything. Until I met Ms.Kim, the help she brought me far exceeded the one-sided knowledge acquisition of learning, and brought me a more effective way of learning. The critical thinking she provided me enabled me to not indulge in appearances but pursue the essence at every stage of my life. However, in my opinion, the greatest gain from being with her is her special and unique insights into life. Her rich experience and knowledge-filled mind saved me again and again. For me, for a high school student who is very conflicted and has a very fragile inner world. She protected me very well and took me into this most real world on the premise of teaching me a lot of knowledge. I am extremely grateful to think & write and Ms. Kim for letting me find light in one of the most painful stages of my life.
