I absolutely LOVED their tutoring!!! They're honestly the best tutors I've ever had. When I was taking General Chemistry, I was always anxious before and during large exams. I tried doing the best I could, but sometimes it would take me hours on a topic. But, with the amazing people at The Study Shack, more specifically Jaine and my AWESOME tutor, Brianna, I did so much better. Quite literally, what would typically take me hours to study would sometimes be covered in as little as 30 minutes, if not the hour! This helped me so much, and if it weren't for them, I'm not sure what I would've done. The difference in my exam grades for that class before and after their tutoring is visibly notable, and I appreciate them so much. I hope to get more tutoring from them soon!!! If you need a tutor to teach you, especially for Chemistry, go to this establishment, you will love it and they're so kind.

The Study Shack’s remote tutoring capabilities were invaluable to making my son’s junior year a successful one! Their Physics tutors are top-notch, and since we live on the West Coast, my son was able to meet and study with the Study Shack tutors remotely. In addition, an unexpected advantage to the remote tutor over in-person was the logistical flexibility—with in-person tutors, we need to arrange to meet them at a location or they come to our home. But particularly given my son’s busy after-school schedule between sports and other activities, the Study Shack’s remote tutoring made it much more seamless to fit his Physics tutoring into his days and evenings. My son even met with his tutor remotely a couple of times while out of town for soccer games. Highly recommended and took a lot of stress out of our lives!

We have had the great pleasure of a tutor through the Study Shack for the past year! I can’t say enough about our wonderful tutor. She was prompt, always worked around my daughters sports schedule, made the session fun, and the communication such as reminders was always appreciated. Each session comes with a written synopsis so I can follow my daughters progress. My daughter made great strides this year. We hired the tutor to help with English but she also helped her in History and math as needed. We strongly recommend the Study Shack for your child’s school needs.

Navigating the very competitive academic landscape in NYC can be challenging - The Study Shack strips all those stressors away and pulls out the best in the child. Children learn best when they are relaxed, and Janie and her team have cracked the code on how to match the right tutor with the needs of the student to make for both a productive and enjoyable learning experience. Sometimes, I would hear my daughter laughing during her tutoring sessions. I watched her metamorphose from dreading certain subjects with great reservation about upcoming exams into a relaxed, confident student and exam taker.
