We need the staff of the Salvation Army DeKalb, Ill. USA to have a little humanity with all the people who come to the Food Bank...Today, Tuesday, February 19, was without a doubt one of the coldest days of this winter...and they did not have the kindness to invite people to enter the building...and protect themselves from the deadly cold of thermal sensations of -20°F.

They always are so helpful and nice to people. It’s my best experience I have ever had at a food pantry. My family and I are very grateful for the work they do here ❤️

The Salvation Army is a place of refuge for those seeking help. Need food? Need help with prescription medicines? Dealing with an overwhelming issue that is holding you down threatening to take you under? You're not alone. There is help. There are people who cares about you because they honor the Lord and serve Him through their service to you. The good thing is you dont have to believe in God to receive services from the Salvation Army because God is so loving and caring that He already believed in you to give you the help He knew already you will need.

Tried to donate a bag of plus size clothes and was talked down to by the work we at back door. Bag had gotten a small amount of leaves and dirt on clothes but once you held up the item the dirt fell off and clothes were clean! This woman was rude and nasty about taking the items. Never mind that the bins behind her were so full of clothes sticking out of top, they were getting moldy and ruined. She told me she was going to throw my clothes away, I told her u didn't care what she did with them. I passed Goodwill to bring them to Salvation Army. Also, I have seen clothes for sale in this store that were not as nice as ones I donated. No more donations will be given to DeKalb store.

Great deals especially the 50% off and 99 cent Monday. Some items are over priced. If I see an item with a tag that says Greenbrier, that means it's from the Dollar Tree and cost $1.00 in Dollar Tree and sometimes $2.00 in the Salvation Army Store. One just has to be a wise shopper.
