Our son started this school year barely able to read due to his dyslexia. After attending twice a week with the most wonderful tutor, Alison he is improving so much. He is in the 3rd grade and it’s a critical year for him to be able to read to pass the FAST test. His IEP’s are helping but we truly believe he’s is doing so well because of Jill Abrams’ tutoring. I highly recommend to anyone with a child that needs help. Our son gets excited to go and learn. To enjoy learning is how one can succeed and this place helps give our son all the tools and confidence he needs to do that.

I cannot say enough good about The Reading Tutor! Jill and her staff are incredibly kind and knowledgeable. My son was severely below in reading and we tried NUMOUROUS tutors before we were recommended Jill by a friend and fellow co-worker. My son has an executive functioning disorder and difficulty with processing. Before starting services he did not consistently know all of his letter sounds and was struggling with blending. He had poor self-esteem, was extremely frustrated, acting up in school, and hated going to school. Jill provided a comprehensive assessment and plan and within 3 months he was independently reading!! It was literally like someone flipped the switch and he finally got it! He used to always complain about going to the other tutors but he loves going to The Reading Tutor, where they keep him engaged and offer fun rewards. The staff have excellent communication skills and always update me on his progress.
I get emotional every time I think about how much progress he has made and how far he's come. He is a totally different kid now. School still has its challenges but he is gaining more confidence everyday. I am forever grateful for this group, they are literal miracle workers! Life changing for my son!

My family relocated from out-of-state just over a year ago. Last year, during third grade, my son was significantly behind in reading and scoring well below average on the standardized tests. His teachers were concerned he would not pass into fourth grade. I started him with The Reading Tutor and the results were amazing! At the end of the year his test scores were significantly higher and within the range to move onto fourth grade. In addition, my son absolutely loved his tutors and learned so much in each session.
