I am so grateful for the staff and the leaders at Learning Hills in South Elgin.
It was my baby’s first daycare and as most of us have experienced drop off to be difficult, they have made it very welcoming and comforting enough for him to calm down quickly. He also becomes excited when we enter the building and he sees all the up-to-date decorations and other kids artwork.
The staff is quick to communicate any information, regardless of importance.
They have a good variety of healthy food options for breakfast, lunch and snack that my son often finishes.
I can tell they do their very best to keep the place clean.
Oh and I almost forgot.. the INDOOR PLAY ROOM!! So the poor kids are not stuck in their classrooms all day long during freezing winter or blazing hot summer.
Overall I am very happy to have my son at this location.

We love Learning Hills! Our son has so much fun there that he literally dreams about school and celebrates when we pull into the parking lot! His teacher Jasmine is amazing and gets him to nap most days - something we can no longer accomplish at home. We also have a 1 year old daughter who goes there and she loves it too. Even in the throws of her stranger danger phase, she was always happy to see her teachers at Learning Hills.

The owner is invested in how the daycare operates. We see him there nearly everyday. We’ve always appreciated their communication and whenever we’ve had questions, they’ve answered them promptly. We definitely recommend Learning Hills and plan to keep our kids here until kindergarten.

We pulled our 3 year old daughter out of Kindercare due to what we consider negligence and a general disregard of my child’s well being. She was bitten multiple times and improperly cleaned up after having a number two accident during potty training. We came over to The Learning Hills and have been absolutely amazed by genuine love they have for each child in their care. The teachers are incredible and after struggling for months to potty train she was in underwear after a week of them working with her. Also I have yet to receive a single incident report or find any marks to worry about. Thank you Learning Hills for all you do!

We love the learning hills! We transferred from another daycare and the staff helped my twins feel safe during the transition. I love the staff, everyone is very friendly. They absolutely love their teachers Mariah, Lily and Veronica! Also, Bibi and Aman (the owner) are helpful & always greets you with a smile.

Such an amazing daycare/preschool!! My son Aman's teachers are wonderful (Ms. Jasmine and Ms Becca). My son has terrible separation anxiety and after 3 weeks into going there he stopped crying at drop off and started telling me how much he loves preschool and his teachers!

Additionally, we absolutely love Ms. Cassie, the director of this daycare! She noticed Aman was having a hard time at drop offs and would open up his classroom (if it was still closed early morning) because it made him feel more comfortable to be in a familiar room in the mornings. She interacts with all the kids which is so refreshing to see from a the director. We have been to other daycares in the past and I only ever saw the director in their offices doing administrative work. Big thank you to the wonderful people that work here and help take care of my son!!! ❤️

I would gladly recommend this daycare to anyone!!

The staff at the Learning Hills is as proactive and passionate about our child’s success as we are - whether it be about potty training, socializing, learning, patience, etc. They have created a very “home-y” atmosphere, including food that is locally purchased at stores we shop at for our own food. On a daily basis, they do SO MANY interactive activities, and they either play outside or have active time in the indoor gym. They send updates and pictures throughout the day, which always brightens up my day too. They’re great at communicating important information and making things festive for holidays and various times of the year. We really appreciate the welcoming, friendly, and communicative environment they have established there!

Here's a review based on my own personal experience with my 2 toddlers:

“The Learning Hills of South Elgin"

I had my two toddlers, aged 2 and 3, enrolled at The Learning Hills of South Elgin, at first they were very nice, understanding and I had high hopes. But I was wrong, it was a complete disaster.

My son repeatedly managed to pull the class alarm because they didn't even bother installing a protective cover over it, despite having four teachers in the room. Their excuse? Not enough caregivers to watch him properly.

Safety was a major issue here. My son not only wandered into the hallways but actually left the building in one occasion . (According to a message sent to my email or text message).
The management's response? They expelled my son, blaming my son for the incident. Also without giving me any time to find alternative care, which led to me losing my job due to the sudden change in childcare.

The staff seemed overwhelmed by basic toddler behavior, calling me at work for every minor issue, forcing me to leave work to pick up my children. This place isn't equipped to handle toddlers.

Regarding the food, don't be fooled by their menu. The "grilled cheese" they serve is just cold bread with a slice of cheese - no grilling, no condiments, just plain and unappetizing. I discovered this when I made an unannounced visit.

Hygiene was another concern; my daughter once had a diaper so full it was falling off, indicating severe neglect in basic care. That day I show up unexpectedly.

The director seemed unqualified to manage such a facility effectively, leading to a chaotic and unsafe environment.

In summary, in my personal experience, The Learning Hills of South Elgin is not just a disappointing daycare; it's a hazard to children's safety and well-being. Look elsewhere for quality childcare.

Here is screenshots of the messages they sent me: not a fake review.

*In response to the reply to my review. You said he “attempted”. No he actually did as the message from the Director stated.
