Today was our first trip there and we met a lot of wonderful amazing birds. We didn't really meet.
Any humans which is okay because we were just checking the place out next time.We would probably pursue talking to somebody. All the birds look healthy and happy. There was one bird that seemed a little bit chilly. So I snuck over and close to the window.Hope I didn't make anyone mad. Noah looked to be shaking. Can't wait.

Amazing. They spoil their birds...very clean facilities and the birds are well taken care of. I adopted my parrot from them and am glad they really make sure a person is a good fit before you bring one home.

The lady at the Gabriel foundation who helped me was so pleasant and extremely helpful. I had to drive over the Colorado mountains, but I didn’t realize they were over 11,000 feet and I was afraid that my parrot could not tolerate it. She informed me he should have no problem. My parrot did very well. Thank You Gabriel foundation.

I boarded my Green Cheek for a little over two weeks, and the Gabriel Foundation did an incredible job taking care of him! Irving seemed very happy and satisfied with his stay. The boarding price is also very reasonable.

The Gabriel Foundation is fantastic! Foundation representatives, along with 3 adorable cockatoos, visited the Clermont Park Adult Day Program in Denver and stayed for well over an hour! The experience was both educational and FUN. One of the cockatoos was quite vocal and could even say his own name! Kathy, Melissa, and Christine, the Foundation representatives, know all there is to know about parrots and answered all of our questions with patience. It was also wonderful to work with Anna who set up the visit. Highly recommend!

Working with The Gabriel Foundation was an amazing experience. I live in Washington State and all the rescues closer to my house are about two to three hours away and require physical, in person home checks. Because I'm too far away for a home check, they wouldn't adopt to me. I found The Gabriel Foundation and they allowed me to send pictures and do a zoom call instead. There was a lot of work involved in the application process, which I believe is a good thing. If people can't even get through the initial steps of an application process, then how are they going to provide for a bird on a daily basis for the next many, many years of it's life? Birds are extremely hard work, so I believe the process to get one should also be. Being that I traveled so far from out of state to their rescue, they really worked with me on everything to help make my trip go as smoothly as possible while I was there. All of the staff was extremely friendly and helpful in answering any questions that I had both before, during and after I was there. The rescue was very clean, organized and welcoming. I saw staff members moving and cleaning cages literally, the entire time I was there visiting. So I know they work all day to keep it clean. My bird's cage was a nice size, clean and had a nice number of hanging toys in it. I was sent home with a lot of helpful reading material and bird food recipes, along with some baggies of pellets, fresh mash, fresh veggies, seed mix and almonds to start her out with. I could really tell how much they love and care for the birds their. Since getting my new Umbrella Cockatoo home, I've completed all the follow up questionairs and have been able to email back and forth with their behavioral bird therapist with any questions that I've had along the way. All in all, traveling down to The Gabriel Foundation to adopt a bird from them was an amazing experience and I would recommend them to anyone who's looking to adopt. I absolutely adore Tasha, my Umbrella Cockatoo, whom I got from them.
