The Nevada County Food Bank while having good intentions Falls very short of accommodating certain classes of people if you don't have proof of residence or an address to provide them you are only given a go bag of food which consists of a jar of peanut butter cans of Vienna sausages two cans of tuna and that's essentially it which is supposed to last two people two whole weeks we ate it in 45 minutes having grown up in Nevada County coming back after 20 years to that kind of faulty service for community members is appalling just because someone doesn't have a residence or residential address doesn't mean that they deserve less food than anyone else how are two people supposed to survive of that little amount of food for 2 weeks it's impossible I would have given one star I would have given no stars actually but they are providing a service to the community but they need to overhaul their ideas of who deserves what and how much

I witnessed a poor lady and her child being screamed at today in the line by the lousy guy who writes numbers on the cars. It was disgusting. Shame on you treating people this way when they are trying to go pick up food. She was in tears.
