We’ve had our 7yo in their Heroes program for about 8 months and the difference we have seen in his confidence, discipline, and respect has been dramatic to say the least. The coaching team at The Academy is phenomenal and work so great with each and every one of the kids in the program. I can’t recommend The Academy enough to anyone who is looking for a positive program for their kids while also providing them with great physical activity each week!

AMAZING INSTRUCTORS!! My two sons started here about 2.5 years ago and they have gained a ton of confidence, made so many friends and are LOVING Jiu Jitsu. My younger son is doing competitions and learning so much. The staff is awesome. They really take the time to work with students of all ages and abilities. The other members are also great. The more advanced members that train with my sons give them extra tips and help them improve. This place is a family, a tribe. I have never been pushed to spend more than I want. They offer a ton of classes. Jiu Jitsu (Gi and No Gi), Judo, kick boxing, yoga, summer camps, and they even have Women’s and Senior classes. My sister and I took a self defense class and we had so much fun. This is the kind of place I feel safe leaving my kids with because I can see how much they care and how well they train their staff. My family trains here and I know these are wonderful people sharing their passion with our community. We love Monument Academy of Martial Arts! They are the best.

My boys (10 &12) have been doing Jiu jitsu for the last four years. Having recently moved to Monument, we have been here for about 6 months and have been so impressed. Professor Tom and his team along with his wife are amazing! They have a gorgeous new facility and offer so many opportunities outside of classes for the kids.. We are excited for the upcoming summer camp!

World class martial arts training right here in the Colorado Springs area. Amazing faculty- the coaching and attention to detail for every student is the best I have seen in 4x decades of martial arts. Of note, the teen coaches for their various camps including their summer program are truly exceptional. Rarely have I seen young mentors/coaches be able to connect and empathize with children; including those facing developmental challenges. Truly an amazing program, school, and community within. Book a trial week and you will not be disappointed.

We have nothing but AMAZING praise for Tom and Christa and the business they have built here in Monument. Our 7 year old son has been with them for a year and a half and because of the love he developed our youngest son started six months ago at 4 years old. We have a parenting motto of "start them young" and we can absolutely say we are so thankful to have them started in Jiu Jitsu as early as they have. They not only teach the children techniques, self-defense, and self-discipline but they are helping create empathetic and compassionate children. The family environment they have brought makes it all the more special and we know we can trust them with our sons. Every time we see an Academy sticker on a car, our boys get so excited! We love the programs at The Academy of Martial Arts because they teach children to work hard and have fun without immediately receiving something in return for their efforts. The perseverance, love and joy of learning is reflected in the children (and adults) taking the classes. It was the best decision we made when we moved to Monument. Our daughters’ listening skills, their respect for themselves and others, and their willingness to try challenging tasks increase every week. Thank you, Monument Jiujitsu!

I was recently visiting CO from out of town & dropped in to train BJJ for a few days at Academy of Martial Arts, where I️ found an extremely welcoming atmosphere. Professor Tom was very personable & encouraging, as were all the students in each of the class I joined. Especially as a woman & someone who's fairly new to the sport, I was very encouraged to see how quickly I felt comfortable at an academy that wasn't my own, which speaks volumes of the community & culture that's been intentionally fostered here. Thanks for the great rolls and look forward to stopping back through the next time I'm in town!

We love the instructors and physical training our child is getting. The owners are dedicated, personable and very flexible if schedules get messy. My son has been going here almost since they opened and he looks forward to it every time! If you need a family outside of your family, you've found your home.
