Absolutely adore my dog. She’s my whole world now. So many wonderful dogs there. Staff is super helpful. Highly recommend (look into their foster to adopt program it was great). Veterans adopt free. Only note is ask about their vaccine history and make sure they are good to go out.

Adopted a cat and a dog from here both times went very well. Animales were in great health and conditions. The staff was super friendly and helpful made everything fast simple and supplied us with all the important medical paperwork. I adopted a husky from them just today and she adjusted very well and quickly to our home you can tell she was treated very well at the shelter.

It is sad how every one I know are caring for abandoned cats and get now help from the County Facilities to help with rescue and neutering. I understand that funding is the main problem to prevent what you should be doing to prevent the over population of kitties. I frequently hear horror stories of what is happening to these poor critters. Please advocate within your establishment to help stop this neglect of helping to neuter and take in stray cats.

My brother and I went to visit the animals at the shelter. The shelter was very clean! The dogs were all pretty friendly and had their histories printed and hanging outside each kennel. The cats and kitten area was pretty impressive, not in size but the room was clean and the individual cat kennels are very modern and pretty spacious. Lots of fur babies looking for forever homes. Tiger was one of our favorite cats, so friendly. Also there seemed to be a lot of German shepherds looking for homes, most found as strays but a few surrendered. They were really beautiful

Everyone was so nice and honest about my new addition to my family. I would highly recommend anyone looking for a pup to check out the Tehama County Animal Shelter and see what they have. I had a very positive exspierence and would definitely go back if I am ever in the position to get another pet.

I adopted an adorable young terrier mix from this shelter about 3 1/2 months ago. The process was easy, filled out paperwork and 2 days later, I picked her up from the veterinary hospital. After getting fixed, she was ready to come home!!! She already feels like she is one of our own❤️❣️
