Our son has been attending Sylvan Learning Center in Teaneck twice a week, and we've really noticed a difference. He actually looks forward to his sessions, which says a lot! The staff is warm and genuinely cares about his progress. It's been wonderful to see him gain confidence and improve in areas where he was struggling. We’re really happy with the experience and would highly recommend Sylvan to other parents.

I love the staff and the service provided. The teachers are patient and kind and the managers provide in depth progress reports. They make the students feel confident, comfortable, and they really know how to bring out the best in each student, I know they definitely impacted my son. Their actions have changed my son's attitude towards school, and he has improved in math. I would recommend this location to anyone, the staff cares about the children.

This place is an awesome Tutoring Center. Including the tutors, they are very helpful and encouraging individuals. (make sure to bring some money for beverages or just bring your own water.)

My daughter, who is 6 years old, participated in the Summer Reading Program offered by Sylvan Teaneck. While she did not have significant reading challenges for her age group, I decided to enroll her based on class size and the opportunity for her to receive additional attention. I also considered the potential difficulties of transitioning to first grade, the level of independence required, and the foundational skills she needed to develop. I wanted to ensure she had a productive alternative to spending excessive time watching a tablet at home, which often made me feel guilty.

Upon joining the program, she underwent an assessment that revealed a Kindergarten skill score of 726. As a result, she was placed in the early literacy program, where everything was read to her. The focus of her sessions was on phonics, decoding, spelling, and some writing. The program consisted of 64 sessions, and we are currently at session 61.

A week ago she was given a transitional assessment, it was determined that she had progressed to a second-grade reading level.

What I appreciate about the program is its transparency. Through the app, I can easily track and see exactly what my child is working on, eliminating the need for constant inquiries.

The program's adaptability is also commendable. When the instructor, Brittany, noticed that the curriculum was too manageable, she adjusted it to provide a slightly more challenging experience, which helped keep her engaged and humble.

The customer service provided by Brittany and Bridget has been exceptional. They are courteous, adaptable to changes, and understanding. I receive daily text message reminders, which have been helpful when I occasionally forget.

They have also been flexible in accommodating changes to our schedule. As a parent who appreciates regular updates, I never felt like I was being a bother to them.

In terms of class size, the group tutoring setting never had more than three - four, but I believe can accommodate six, children present at any given time around the desk.

My daughter developed a fondness for her teachers and enjoyed the experience.

I particularly liked that the program reinforced my daughter's kindergarten knowledge while exposing her to what she will be learning in first grade.

I highly recommend Sylvan and plan to enroll my daughter in their program again next summer. It has been a worthwhile investment and money well spent.
