Its hard to find words to express the gratitude we have for Sylvan...I mean what do you say about a place that has truly changed the direction of your child's growth in learning? Its tremendous. Our daughter's growth is almost a straight line upward and numbers and results don't lie. Joan and her team of teachers are the best. Very warm feeling walking in from day one. We almost went with another place until we came in and sat down with Joan. It was then we knew Sylvan was a good fit for our family. We are so very grateful for the love they've shown our baby girl. Thank you all for your kindness and support in teaching our daughter, we would give more stars if there was an option!!

I sent my son to Sylvan when he was younger and it helped him, so I figured it'd help my granddaughter. She was several grade levels behind in reading. The tutors are focused on her reading, vocabulary, summary, and the important and unimportant details. Her self-confidence has gone up exponentially. She just started middle school and is now performing at grade level. I credit her confidence to Sylvan. She’s more accepting and not as frustrated. She has more focus and sees the value. Everyone has been nice, not only to my granddaughter but also to myself and her parents.

Our 1st grader attends south San Antonio location. Sylvan Learning center has been a wonderful choice for us and our 7 year old. She loves her sessions and in the short amount of time she’s been attending she is really catching up with her reading. Definitely recommend this institution.

My daughter has struggled in school from learning 2 different languages. We decided to move her out of the program but needed to fill in some gaps for English. Since starting at Sylvan, my daughter has stopped calling herself stupid and is excited about learning again! Homework and learning no longer lead to tears. The teachers are amazing and my daughter looks forward to going. She always asks me when her next session is. Sylvan has been worth the investment for my daughter's future!

My child ZK went in with a great deal of gaps as most did through those two years or so from COVID. And though she was tempered about the long investment, she is now well within her comprehensive standard and making strides academically in school. I want everyone to know that with time patience and trust this Sylvan process will yield results.

If your a high school student and need help passing GED, or star test do not go here. The people that tutor have 5 other kids to tutor at once leaving you sitting there for half the time you signed up for, and when they do finally get to you instead of showing you why you do the steps, and how to do the steps they just essentially do the problems for you. At the same time they have a bunch of little kids running around yelling and worse of all they have “play time” the last 10 minutes making it difficult to focus on what’s being taught and difficult listening. You’d be better off hiring a private tutor that can give you there undivided attention. Maybe if your kid is still in grade school or middle school, but if your in high school your just wasting your time.
