Our 11 year old son has been attending Sylvan for year and half to brush up on reading and writing. He went from being slightly behind for grade to slightly ahead and his confidence level around written communication has really increased. The center has been very responsive with communication and regular progress reports. Our son never complains about going in and enjoys the teachers. We will absolutely use this Sylvan center again in the future if we have any other tutoring needs.

I can't say enough about Sylvan learning center! Our daughter has only been attending for a short time, but we can see leaps & bounds in her confidence level, skills & excitement for reading & math. Sylvan has given her the helping hand she needed to make great progress with her studies. It has been well worth our while & we are excited to continue to watch her grow & learn there. We have been taking our 7 year old to the Sylvan learning center on NE Fremont location for about 5 months. I could not be happier with these amazing people! At first she was apprehensive, then as her confidence grew she started to really enjoy going. She has grown leaps and bounds! It is truly one of the best decisions we have ever made. The teachers really know what they are doing! I would highly recommend any parent taking their child here for tutoring. You won’t regret it. Invest in your child’s future.

We started our daughter at Sylvan Learning Center of North and Northeast Portland in May of 2019, and in less than a year we've seen a dramatic improvement in her reading. She has gone from not meeting expectations in school to exceeding them. The point based, incentivized system, appears to work really well with kids, and this has driven her to work on achieving higher scores. The staff is very kind and caring and pleasant to work with. I would highly recommend.

what I love about sylvan learning center. I love this place because it have help my son in so many ways with the subject he has struggled in. I have seen some of the changes with in weeks that he has made. I love the teachers and the hand on hand helping they give. All the staff they have is such a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend and one to go and get there kid or kids the help they need. It really shows the in your child work ethics at school. I want to say I appreciate everyone and I am so happy seen my son very confident in the work he does. 😋

My daughter was looking to boost her SAT score. She was motivated, but needed some help with her math skills and test taking strategies. Sylvan provided both over a fairly intensive two month period. Scheduling was flexible, she liked her teachers and she improved her score by 200 points! Thank you Justin, Tanya and Sylvan teaching crew!
