We are new to the sylvan family my son is entering the first grade. We are starting sylvan looking to give him a boost in confidence as he does make his way into first grade. I feel there is a lot of love and passion for helping young children from the director, Colleen. She is very welcoming and very knowledgeable and willing to work with his teachers for the coming up school year. I’m very hopeful this gives him the confidence boost he needs and the desire to make those mistakes that come with learning new things!

My (now second grade) son had a blast at a week-long "Lego camp" focused on simple machines this summer. The staff were so wonderful and he had such a great time that we decided to have him start the reading program later in the summer. Because we moved schools between kindergarten and first grade, my son had a lot of unique gaps in his reading skills. Their assessment pinpointed exactly the areas in reading that he needed to work on and he's been focused on filling in those gaps at exactly the right level to challenge him, but not frustrate him. In addition to the skill growth, we have seen my son's confidence in reading really grow. We've also seen him applying the strategies that he is learning at Sylvan as he reads at home and school. I really appreciate the parent meetings to check in about his progress and the time that the staff has spent answering my questions. Ms Colleen and Ms Amanda, the two staff who I've worked most closely with, are phenomenal! We look forward to continuing at Sylvan this year.

I previously thought that Sylvan was an extra step that we didn't need. After classrooms became online education, I changed my mind. Sylvan is giving my child back his confidence and filing in any areas he isn't caught up on. Very professional and supportive staff. We have seen improvements every week.

There is nothing bad about it. The teachers are nice. The work isn’t too hard but sometimes a little. Stuff is done on an iPad. I like it.

It’s not cheap but if you’re struggling to get caught up or avoid summer slid it’s a life saver. Staff is very knowledgeable!

The staff was very professional. They were kind and open hearted from the beginning to end . I would recommend this to all children and young adults who need the extra help . There's nothing like being in a place were people are caring and understanding towards with your future. This experience for my daughter was amazing.
