My son started last year because he was behind in reading and after just shy of a year of lessons, his confidence has skyrocketed, he’s doing much better at school and his reading level has gone from a grade behind to a grade ahead! The teachers were all very involved, we got regular updates on his progress, and the curriculum definitely worked! They’re also flexible on payment plans that can fit a budget. If your child needs an extra boost, I’d definitely suggest this location!

This is a fantastic facility with wonderful instructors! They are all so caring and helpful and the owners take so much time to explain progress along the way. I took my second grader here for some help with her reading. Their initial assessment matched the concerns of her teacher and they created a program to get her up to speed with her peers. It exceeded our expectations! My daughter absolutely loved going there and it improved her confidence in her work. She loved getting tokens for her hard work and being able to pick out toys with those tokens! I would not hesitate to bring her back for additional help in other subjects in the future! It is a fantastic place!

My son attended the ACT program prior to his taking the ACT test. My son is a terrible test taker (high anxiety) and we wanted him to feel in control over the test. The staff of this Sylvan measured him at the beginning and got a baseline of where he would score on the test prior to the prep course and also at the end. My son exceeded his predicted outcome and raised his score from his baseline 7 points. My son's score is high enough to qualify for Merit scholarships at some schools and my son is retaking the course again to improve his opportunities for additional merit awards. He feels confident that with Sylvan's help he will definitely improve some more!

Great ACT prep for my junior. We started in November and Ken and team created a plan that worked with his school, work and volunteer schedule, and a plan to increase his score over multiple tests. As parents, we do not have the knowledge to know how to best guide our student through the ACT process and we are glad to have a strong partner in Sylvan.

We are so pleased with the results our daughter received on her ACT. She went from a 20 to a 28! Her reading score was a 35, meaning she only missed one question. Sylvan’s program was simple for her navigate independently. She did a little extra one on one instruction, which she found extremely helpful. So many more college doors have now been opened for her; she applied to an additional 4 schools that she considered “out of reach.” We can’t thank Sylvan learning center enough! The staff is very professional and help her attain extraordinary results!

My daughter has really benefited from tutoring at the Lake Zurich Sylvan Learning Center. She has shown tremendous growth in her subject area and is more confident since attending Sylvan. Highly recommended! I had my son get help with homework and then preps for SATs. I could not be happier- we had to keep tweaking things around to help him and it worked...plus the staff was very receptive and accommodating to the suggestions we made. He also did a Speed Reading program that I feel helped him a lot with his SATs plus it’s a great life skill to have. Big thank you!
