Ms. Amber and her staff are great over all they have helped my child out with her reading and self confidence. They have assisted in dual language homework as well. My child’s reading has also improved tremendously since starting sylvan. I like their points program as well which helps to encourage the children to come to Sylvan.

My son went to Sylvan for about 6 months. The tutors/instructors were very helpful and kind. There is a reward system that helps to motivate them a bit more! Due to scheduling my son doesn’t go anymore.. but was a pleasant experience.

Special #Kudos to Sylvan Learning of Hermosa Beach for significantly improving my son's grades and reading skills. Not only Amber and her stuff are very professional and show care to our kids, they go above and beyond expectations. Very patient teachers, some of them retired teachers, or University Students. So, you can't go wrong with them and having this extra support for a kid going to public would be equivalent to going to private schools. Very happy because my son had to catch up 18 months gap (out of country), and with their support he did in a short period of time. Their remote learning program works as well with Covid-19. I highly recommend them.

My son truly enjoys tutoring sessions at Sylvan Hermosa. He gets 4 sessions a week for any subjects with sylvan membership and we have seen his academic improvement. The program is well built and the periodical assessment will give us what kids have learned, where the current level is and what will be the next target. Teachers & staff are nice and attentive. Kids earn tokens every visit and trade them in to get prizes, which is incentive and motivation. We made right choice!

My kids enjoy tutoring sessions here at Sylvan. They make learning so fun here. The sessions are by the hour on what ever subject you signed up for. They earn tokens by doing work and they could collect them and trade them in to get prizes, which is an incentive for them. My kids did a trial class they they were already wanting to come back for more. Amber, director and all the teachers are super nice and professional
