I highly recommend Sylvan Tutoring Services!!!!!!!

My son, who's in 3rd grade started attending Sylvan Learning in Oct of 2023. He was struggling with reading (phonics). Sylvan gave my son an assessment test, he test at a 2 grade entry level. I had a meeting with Mr. Michael (director) to go over my child's needs. He explained everything to me and answered all my questions. About 24 sessions into the program my son test at 3rd grade entry level. Around the same time my son took an assessment at his school and tested at his grade level. We are still in the program and my son have continued to show improvement!

What a great team! Our son benefited greatly from attending Sylvan primarily for reading and writing post quarantine to recover some learning loss from e-learning. He was able to progress well above grade level in some areas! We resumed sessions about a year later until recently primarily for writing help. Our son was able to gain admittance to a gifted and talented camp with the generous support of the Director and staff. We appreciated the care and attention given to our son and his unique strengths and challenges. He enjoyed his sessions and we won’t hesitate to return in the future for additional support with our children’s learning goals.

My kids have been studying at Sylvan for about a month. My daughter is doing the SAT prep/speed-reading and my son is learning better study skills and organization. The director Jana, and her staff are excellent. One thing that impressed me right away is that Sylvan has solid diagnostic tools that allow them to accurately assess your student's specific needs and develop a teaching plan. I'm also amazed that my kids actually like going! My daughter even begged me to schedule a make-up session when she had to miss one. Both kids have told me that the teaching is useful and that their self-confidence has increased. I feel that we've made a sound investment in our children by choosing Sylvan.

Our daughter has been coming to Sylvan for almost a month now and we have see major progress. She comes 3 times a week for kindergarten readiness tutoring and she LOVES It so much she doesn’t want to leave. Sylvan does assessment on your child to ensure they are only learning what needed, rather than what they already know. Also they make goals and plans for your child on where they should be by the time they are done with tutoring. So far we having a great experience with Sylvan Learning Center and love how personalized it is. We look forward to seeing our daughter’s progress within the 8 months she is signed up for.

We signed both of our kids up at Sylvan Learning in Forest Park about three months ago. Since then they have shown great improvements in both Reading and Math. The greatest benefit has been their self-confidence going up! Both our son and daughter have been feeling more confident within themselves overall and when it comes to their class work. They both enjoy going to their Sylvan tutoring sessions. The amazing staff create an atmosphere where both of our kids feel comfortable and eager to learn. The teachers are constantly assessing our kid’s learning and offer a lot of feedback. The director, Ms. Jana, has also met with our kids’ teachers at their school. We are so happy we signed them up at Sylvan! We wished we had done it sooner.

My child has been attending Sylvan for math assistance for many years. He enjoys his sessions and has made friends. The lessons help reinforce basic math skills and provide early exposure to grade level classroom concepts, plus the homework help has been invaluable. The teachers are great and have long standing ties to the center. Jana is an amazing director who has met with my son's math teachers from his school and she ensure's a comprehensive approach to math for him based on his academic needs. Attending Sylvan Learning Center has been great for my son in helping to build his confidence in math.

I couldn't be more pleased with Sylvan Learning of Forest Park. My son was significantly behind in reading towards the end of first grade. He hated to read and would get very frustrated when asked. During the spring and summer months, Sylvan was able to get my son reading at or above grade level. My son now enjoys reading and enjoys going to school again. I attribute this success to all of the staff at Sylvan Learning of Forest Park. The teachers have been amazing and really know how to work with children that are having issues.

I would also like to commend Jana Behm, the center director, for all that she has done for us. In the spring of the last school year, she reached out to my son's teacher to coordinate his school and Sylvan studies. She helped us create a customized plan, tailored to my son's needs, for the spring and summer months and helped us get him back on track. What most stands out to me is her commitment to helping my child achieve academic success. Most recently, she demonstrated her dedication and commitment by physically attending my son's school 504 meeting. Jana's presence innumerably helped to provide the school with tips and suggestions that have worked so well at Sylvan. Together with the school, Jana and Sylvan have helped us team my son's educational issues with the school and help create a consistent environment. I cannot say enough good things about Sylvan and Jana Behm. Thank you.

My son scored a 1310 on his practice SAT but his ultimate goal was a 1500. It was his idea to take SAT prep classes and he was committed to improving his score. I found Sylvan and had heard they had a good program so we signed up. My son was signed up for 2 SAT tests, one in April and one in May. His April results returned a 1450 and his May test results revealed he attained his goal of 1500!! He is thrilled! He also mentioned that the strategies he learned during the program have been helping him with his current classes and AP tests as well. While I was hesitant initially due to the cost, I am glad that we signed up for the program because in the long run it was worth every penny. Thank you Sylvan! I highly recommend.
