We have had a great experience with our daughter at Sylvan in Claremont. They are fully invested in her progress and it has given her the extra boost of confidence she needs at school to try her best. My daughter is in 2nd grade and she started Sylvan in November to help with her reading. Practicing reading at home was very challenging because she would get so frustrated because she struggled with it. I’m so thankful we decided to give Sylvan a try because it has been a total game changer. My daughter is now reading more confidently and actually initiates reading time on her own at home (that never happened before). She actually looks forward to going to Sylvan after school. We are thankful for Kathleen, the site director, who makes you feel like she truly cares about your child’s success, just as much as you do as the parent. Her regular check-ins with me are so thorough and incredibly helpful. We are also thankful for all of the staff for their help and patience. We strongly recommend Sylvan!

My son was very behind after missing lots of school from illness in his first school year. He would become easily frustrated when doing schoolwork. I put him in Sylvan to help him catch up academically and to improve his negative view of learning and school work. We have monthly progress reports and individualize support for my son's own needs. We are near the end of school term and I am happy to report that he is doing much better in reading and language, not hating schoolwork, and his confidence has improved. He even wants to read to me sometimes. Thank you to all the tutors at Sylvan for supporting my son. After much research and thought, I enrolled my son at Sylvan of Claremont for tutoring services. I am very happy with their program! My son looks forward to going to his sessions, 4 days/wk, and has shown improvement in just 6 weeks. He is more confident and engaged in school and his scores have gone up considerably. All the staff at Sylvan, Kathleen, Evelyn, and Caroline, are very knowledgeable, kind and supportive. This is a wonderful center! Highly recommend!

Sylvan has helped my son with so much since the short time he has been. He was struggling and falling behind since the pandemic. Now that he's getting the support he needs with reading and homework help I can see that he has the confidence doing his work on his own or me having to always check in on him.
