A Transformative Experience at Sylvan Learning Center!

We couldn’t be happier with the progress our children have made at Sylvan over the past six months. When we started, one of our kids was nearly a full grade level behind in reading, while the other was half a grade level behind in math. Fast forward to now, and they’re almost fully on grade level with only minor gaps left to close—an incredible accomplishment in such a short amount of time with just twice-weekly sessions!

We have had our share of struggles in the math arena with our son, T$. We finally decided to bite the bullet and search for a tutor. From our very first 'exploration' session with Sylvan we were impressed. Shanna Miller is a gem in the industry. We love that Shanna has had prior teaching experience. But what is the most impressive is her communication. She is extremely responsive and reaches out to confirm upcoming important events and dates for our son and his progress.
We have routine progress sessions with Shanna about how T$ is doing and what he is working on. We are now 51 sessions in and thrilled about his progress. No, he does not LOVE math, but we are moving in the right direction and that's what matters.
T$'s confidence continues to grow.
Another thing we greatly appreciate is Dante. He is a tutor that sits with the kids, and he is extremely approachable. T$ loves working with Dante. He is patient but also helps keep T focused and on task. You can tell that Dante really likes the kids and I am rooting for him to become a teacher, which is his goal.
We would HIGHLY recommend Sylvan to anyone and everyone. They are very family friendly and have been a wonderful fit for T$.
