My son needed help the last few months of 1st grade. Sylvan Baytown really boosted his confidence and helped round out the year on a good note. The Tutors always welcome him with a smile which makes him feel comfortable. The hours are very convenient for working parents. My son is in 2nd grade now and we go just to keep him on track.

My daughter struggled with reading and writing going into kindergarten. After 2 "below average" report cards, my husband and I decided to enroll her into Sylvan. We take great pride in our children's education and only want the best for them, so we knew we were desperate. My daughter has been in it for a little over a month and her kinder teacher has reported she has "progressed tremendously!". My daughter can now read Level 3 and working on level 4, in preparation for 1st grade. Sylvan has given my daughter the confidence, and she enjoys every time she goes. Marianna and Allison have been wonderful. They always greet my daughter with a smile and they are super flexible with any change of scheduling.The whole staff has been amazing. Sylvan tuition is no means cheap, but you get what you pay for. They have different options in financing to help with your budget. If your child's education is a top priority, choose Sylvan. You won't regret it.

Update: My daughter just finished her first 9 weeks in 1st grade. She has not returned to Sylvan since she completed her hours but I feel compelled to add to this review. I had my first conference with her first grade teacher and she mentioned my daughter was the best reader in her class! Her class is averaging a level 6 on reading and my daughter is a level 8! I truly feel Sylvan had a big impact on her success. I cannot say thank you enough for all their hard work in ensuring my daughter's success!

Sylvan Learning Center has ALWAYS been my go to whenever any of my children has struggled in school. Here is where they will get that much needed extra help and one on one teaching setting that the public school system doesn't provide. My oldest daughter blossomed over the summer that she attended and didn't have the struggles from the previous year prior. Now my youngest son is currently enrolled and he is getting the extra one on one help and he is loving it. His confidence and overall self-esteem has vastly improved. I couldn't be more pleased and I can't possibly say how much Sylvan Learning Center and ALL the wonderful teachers and staff members has done for my family!!

I cannot say enough good things about Sylvan Learning of Mont Belvieu and Baytown. My son attended for reading assistance, and he has had tremendous success with the program and is now working above grade level. The directors are amazing, always quick to respond to us and accommodate specific needs. My son loves his teachers, and I appreciate how they would match him with teachers whose manner of teaching and whose personalities meshed with his. They always knew what was best for him to achieve success, even if he was at first hesitant. I recommend this location to anyone looking for extra, personalized assistance to help their children achieve academic success and gain confidence in their abilities.

The staff at Sylvan in Baytown are awesome!! Very informative and always trying to see if there is anything else that they can do or needs to be worked on. They definitely care about their students and make it fun for them to learn. My daughter has come a long way in such a short period of time I couldn’t be more proud! 100% I recommend them!!

I had a wonderful experience with the entire staff. My son was very hesitant in attending class every time and they established a good rapport with him and made him feel welcomed. My son has ADHD and is behind academically and with just a few months of going to sylvan I saw a huge difference on his reading skills . I am amazed !!! Definitely recommend. Is it definitely worth it.

My son began kindergarten this year. Several months into the year and we noticed he had some deficiencies that were making learning difficult for him. His teachers did as much as they could, but being stretched thin made it difficult for them to give him the individualized learning he needs. We tried working with him at home, but we both ended up frustrated. Several of our friends used Sylvan in the past (different location) and recommended it. From the initial assessment and parent meeting, we felt very comfortable and they are always so excited to see our son. It’s an expensive investment, but I know the pay off is coming. His confidence is improving; little by little. We still have a long way to go, but I’m sure with Sylvan of Baytown by our side, our son will be successful.
