With the implementation of Standard Baseline Learning (SBL) in our school district, we were deceived that our child was doing great in school. We noticed our child's weakness where the SBL did not identify. We enrolled our child into Sylvan for additional help in her area of weakness and she has improved significantly. She understands the proper usage of punctuation and is now working on strengthening her spelling. The staff are friendly and always making sure the children are safe.

The staff is wonderful. My granddaughter has improved in her reading since attending. The only reason I didn't rate sylvan with 5 stars is I'd rather there be one on one with the tutor.

If you're looking for a nurturing learning atmosphere for your child... look no further and come here! Zor- the center's director is incredibly thoughtful, kind, intuitive and connects with the students immediately putting them at ease. He has put together a wonderful team of tutors. Our son has worked with Mr. John, Mr. David and Ms. Gabby all of whom have been patient, supportive, encouraging and bring out the best in him. He feels at ease with all of them and looks forward to his reading sessions with them.
I have seen all of the tutors work with the youngest kiddos to the College prep students and with each one there is a loving respectful tone that they set and the students (even the most reluctant ones) feel confident and supported by them.
We signed up for 20 sessions and are coming to the end of them and my son has grown tremendously and more importantly has been enjoying the process. I can't say enough great things about this branch location, the director and team of tutors. Check it out for yourselves!!

I always heard good things about Sylvan Learning. My son needs additional learning support for reading and writing. The teachers focus my son reading comprehension and writing skills. They have been extremely help. They found where my son weaknesses are and set up some goals for him to achieve in his writing. I’m very happy with Sylvan program. I would recommend Sylvan at Ballwin.

Both of my kids took the Sylvan ACT courses here and saw significant gains (4+ points) in their test scores. The courses were customized to focus on the areas each one needed and play to their strengths. Highly, highly recommend!

Our son has been attending Sylvan for 7 months and it has changed his life! When he began his program reading was very hard for him. It was intimidating any time we sat down to try. Since he has been with the center his reading has improved greatly, his confidence is visibly increased, and he doesn’t get upset when it’s time to read. The skills he has learned he will use for the rest of his life. We can’t be more thankful for Sylvan. The director is easy to talk to and is helpful anytime we need her. My son has only been at Sylvan for about a month now, and he has already improved SO much! He loves going every time and looks forward to all the special days they plan (crazy hat day, flip fop day, STEM day, etc. ). I would highly recommend Sylvan to anyone who has a child that struggles or maybe even just struggles emotionally with a subject. Sylvan has also improved his overall attitude toward math!

My daughter has been going to Sylvan BALLWIN for more than 2 years . She enjoys learning there and the help provided to complete homework and also accelerate her Math learning is very good . Teachers are excellent and very knowledgeable and patient with the kids and constant feedback is provided on the child acceleration. Also, the flexibility with time and day to move classes is very convenient and helps us work around new events that come up for my child
