This class is wonderful! My almost-2-year-old daughter and I attended for the summer session. Miss Maeve and Miss Vicki are incredibly warm, welcoming, and kind while providing an enriching and structured musical environment. They are clearly wonderful musicians, love what they do, and are great with children. My daughter is shy, but each week she would come out of her shell and participate a bit more. She would hum some of the class songs at home and always looked forward to going to class. She loves music, and this class is a great way to help get her developmentally ready for eventual private instrument lessons. Highly recommend!

My daughter severely needed socializing after being born just a couple months before pandemic lockdown began, and this class was very helpful for her. The teachers made it so fun for all the students and were very understanding when a young child needed a minute out in the hallway. It is also a fantastic introduction to music performance and a wonderful gateway to string instrument playing. I highly recommend this class!

I can's say enough "Thank you" for the teachers of this wonderful class. I really think this class is the best you can find around for your little one because it has everything a small child may ever need at this age. Both Miss Vicky and Miss Maeve are so kind, so loving, so warm and so patient, the class itself is amazing: the structure, the music, the activites, the songs and the poems - everything is so well-thought and well-balanced to keep little ones engaged and letting them learn while enjoying the process. No wonder my both kids loved the class so much that they kept playing all the games and songs at home and they'd been waiting for every Thursday to come and enjoy the welcoming nurturing musical environment Miss Vicky and Miss Maeve had created. And the class helped a lot in my kids' learning English. I highly recommend this class. Thank you once again.

Taking my son to this music class has been the most enriching experience for not only my son, but also for me. We've been going for over a year and his musical intuition has grown, he's sings a lot during the day, and he looks forward to music class every week.

It's been the best investment in my child's early music education and a fantastic way to make meaningful connections with him every week! I highly recommend this music class for you & your child!

The Suzuki Early Childhood music class, has been a wonderful experience for my child and I. We have been a part of the class for about 1.5 years and my son has grown so much there. When he first began as a baby, I would do or help him perform most of the actions and activities. As he grew, he became more and more independent and confident, doing most of the actions, directions, and instrument playing on his own. One of his biggest takeaways was developing the self-control and patience necessary to play thing within the correct timing, although there were so many awesome things he learned. The consistency of the curriculum allows us to see how he graduating through each song, and learning more. Maeve and Vicki are wonderful teachers, full of love for all of the children. They are always enthusiastic and communicate very well, especially about the developments they see in your child. The are very personal and down to earth. My son loves them and we really appreciate them so much!

As a nanny and former pre-school teacher, I can honestly say that Miss Maeve and Miss Vicki have devised something really special with this music class. I love that the class is designed to ready children for taking instrument lessons by age 3. I think this important--regardless if this is the long-term goal you have for your child--because the social, cognitive, and motor skills necessary for playing an instrument are so important for young children to develop ASAP! Moreover, the teachers make it EASY for the children to practice a combination of these skills through numerous FUN musical activities.

For example, the 1 year old I cared for, still on the cusp of learning to talk, participated in counting activities by learning how to point with her index finger. Also, she learned to make eye contact and shake hands during the “Good Morning” song that started out our day. I was particularly impressed when she began applying things she learned in class out of the usual context, like shaking hands with her stuffed animals!

I also appreciate that the class followed a regular routine. The children had time to practice and grow confident in the activities they engaged in during class. It was heartwarming to see, on a weekly basis, at least one child do something they had not done the week before! I recall the first time one very young classmate held an impressively steady beat on the lollipop drum—with weekly practice, she did it! I fondly recall seeing each child learn to do “duck wings” over the course of the class. It’s so amazing--like seeing a light switch turn on! One week they don’t, next week they do—and so proudly!

Because of our weekly attendence to this class, I believe that the little one I cared for also became much more outgoing when socializing at the park and seemed more curious about what she heard. She would often communicate that she heard something by pointing to her ear—and sure enough, I would hear a bird chirping or a helicopter outside.

All in all, I think this music class is a gem. It's stimulating, fun, and the teachers are so warm and dedicated. It provided us with wonderful bonding time both in and out of class, we learned so many songs, and we made such great friends!
