We couldn't be happier with this school! ALL of the teachers are incredible. Kind, patient and they actually do care about your kids. Yvonne in the toddler room was AMAZING with our son when he first started. I was sad that he was going to primary and wouldn't get to be with her anymore. Allison is now his teacher and she's wonderful. Elizabeth us our older sons teacher and we couldnt be happier. He has learned so much under her watch. When I drop my boys off I know they are in wonderful hands. Cari the director is very sweet and bounces from classroom to classroom to help with anything. One day I was picking my boys up and saw both of them hugging her and sitting on her lap! ALL the women in this building are exceptional and I thank you so very much ❤️

We’ve been with Sunflower Montessori for a couple of months now and are happy with our 13 month old daughter’s progress and the bonds she’s formed with the staff and students. The staff, atmosphere, and facilities are calming, lively, and thoughtfully organized. Even her gradual integration into the school was well planned and smooth. The school’s staff, like Pam and Brenda make my husband and I feel comforted that our child is in nurturing, tender, educated, and compassionate hands. Thank you Sunflower Montessori for being a part of our everyday lives.

Our son has been attending Sunflower since he was very young - 8 weeks or so. The staff has been absolutely incredible. The level of care that he has received in his time there, both in the Infant Room and now in Toddlers has been wonderful. The staff truly love our son, and it shows. Additionally, I truly believe that our son's development is a direct reflection of the Montessori method and how it is applied at even this young age. He is bright, independent, caring, and empathetic, far beyond what I would expect at his age. I am grateful to the staff for what they have done for our boy.

Cannot say enough great things about our experience with Sunflower Montessori. The quality is excellent, I truly feel comfortable and confident in their safety, educational experience and how they are learning Montessori methods that help our home life as well. I toured this while still pregnant as I had been told now days you do have to plan in advance and get on a waiting list in the Denver area. I'm so glad I did. I've had two children attend Sunflower - one older attended the kindergarten program and summer program, one younger started as an infant and has grown through the infant, toddler, primary, preschool environments. I can go to the teachers and director if I have any questions or concerns, and they are willing to listen and work to resolve. The cost while high, is worth the quality and was comparable to what I toured nearby. Do ask about the calendar in advance and make sure it works for your work schedule.

This is our son's 2nd year in the primary program and he loves it. We love the montessori way of learning and I think it has been very beneficial for him. He has really blossomed so many areas. His social skills, communication skills, independence and the way he is soaking up the curriculum. He loves to come home and "teach" mom and dad. Love that he shares that with us. Thank you Sunflower!

Our 2-year old daughter attends SMS and loves it. She went from an at-home nanny to the classroom environment at 15 months and while it was quite an adjustment for her (and us!) Sunflower and her teachers made the transition as smooth as possible and she is now thriving in her toddler classroom. I truly feel she is attending school each day, not daycare and am constantly impressed with what she is learning and how much she knows. So happy we to part of the SMS community.

Both of my children spent 3 years at this phenomenal school. It is well run, very clean, and the staff genuinely care about the children. The staff and other families became a secind family. I still drive by the school and remember all the fond memories. When my oldest aged out, I left lamenting that I wish they could stay there forever.

My daughter left sunflowe as a highly advanced reader and was fluently reading when she left. In first grade her favorite book (to read on her own) was The Titanic. This has set her up for life, and we could not thank the staff enough. The conflict resolution skills my children learned here will stay with them for a lifetime.

The school implements the Montessori philosophy with fidelity. I have seen many Montessori schools, and Sunflower stays true to the philosophy. The director is well known and well respected throughout the Montessori community.

This school is adored by those who have passed through. My children still talk about ROSE - Respect for Others, Respect for Self, Respect for the Environment. Sums up how to be a good human.

I would recommend this school to anyone looking for a preschool that will respect their child's individuality, and teach them the skills they need to not only successfully operate in the world, but make it a much better place to live.

My two children have been at SMS since the oldest was an infant - almost 5 years now. The school isn't perfect - it's a small business and we have occasional frustrations with certain policies and administrative practices, but the fact is that it's an amazing environment full of educators who love our children and fully embrace Montessori philosophy. Many complain about the price, but you get what you pay for. If you want your child to spend all day strapped in a high chair with little interaction, by all means go to a day care center that churns through minimum wage staff. Sunflower hires good people, and they cost more money to employ.

There is no one I would trust more to care for my infant than Ms. Pam. My children are older now, but even though my youngest has been out of her class for years he is still so attached to her, and she clearly loves each and every one of them.

My oldest son has special needs and I cannot even express how grateful we are to Ms. Molli for her efforts over the several years he spent in her primary classroom. She is a truly exceptional educator.

Over our years at Sunflower, there have been only two teachers that we were not completely happy with, and neither are still employed by the school.
