The SDC has been nothing but helpful and accommodating for me. I never had disability accommodations before and since starting at CSU they have been a fantastic resource. I was able to secure a very wide array of accomodations and even specialized technology for my disabilities. Laurie at the ATRC (tech part of SDC) was AMAZING.

Everyone I have spoken with has been professional and courteous. I have my own case worker and she has been great at helping me make professors who do not believe in accomodations accommodate me.

Accomodations were set immediately after my first meeting with them and they were flexible about me providing documentation when I could from my therapist and doctor.

This has been a lifechanging thing for me at CSU. As a 4.0 student, people often thing you don't need help. I learned that if I was killing myself for these grades, that isn't acceptable either. There is a better way and they will help you get there.

I am so disappointed. You would think they would be professional in the slightest for a federally funded state school. Extremely poor staff and even worse response and action time. Reading these other reviews shows you that they absolutely need to reconsider who they hire in the first place! Been going to CSU for 5 years for context.

I scheduled an appointment to get help and these idiots didn’t call me for 20 minutes after my appointment started so i decided to call them and they told me i had to reschedule because i was 15 minutes late, even though i had no phone number for the person i was meeting with and the meeting was scheduled to be an hour long. you cannot tell someone that you are going to help them and make a commitment and then not follow through for some dumb reason that is your own fault and completely illogical.

Document everything and seek accountability. The absolute worst experience with any university institution I’ve ever had the displeasure of dealing with. The kids working the phones aren’t professional and haven’t a clue to take and deliver messages because they aren’t properly trained. Staff are unprofessional, passive-aggressive, stonewall communication, obstruct accommodations for weeks into the semester, set students up to fail by insisting on ever moving goalposts and hoops for satisfying their arbitrarily changing requirements for documentation.

They circulate blatantly discriminatory and alienating emails with nakedly obscene identity political propaganda, arbitrarily deny well-supported appeals not by committee but by said individual who circulated said email with a bizarrely misplaced political and “social justice” axe to grind. This department leadership becomes openly hostile when students call them to account, immediately referring one to CSU General Consul if one requests department audits of policy and measures to improve supervision.

Got a call today saying my appointment was canceled. Literally the rudest interaction ive ever had with any type of front desk/clerk/reception and I’ve been to jail.

Our student was struggling with some mental health issues throughout his first semester and contacted the disability center to inquire about possible accommodations. He had his meeting on a Tuesday, and by Friday was all set up with several accommodations that will stay with him throughout his time at CSU (he doesn't ever have to go through a renewal process), including a new housing assignment and an emotional support animal. It's truly been life-changing for him!
