I absolutely loved this facility not only from the parking lot but the inside as well. VERY clean inside and organized! I can't tell you how refreshing that was after visiting 3 other facilities that day. The volunteer staff were super nice, knowledgeable, and forthcoming. Unfortunately, there are no small doggies, but I would have adopted from there if they did. Plus, whenever one walks into any shelter, human society, etc, and there aren't many animals to pick from? That's a great sign! Those animals went to their loving forever homes.

Staff were friendly and very accomodating. They allowed us to walk the kennels to see the dogs without issue. They were kind enough to show us multiple dogs so my daughter could pick her favorite. Once we picked out the dog we wanted to adopt They made the process quick and easy to take Dolly home that night. Dolly had her shots, was neutered, and chipped. They registered her chip with our info and then provided a tag and a collar. Extremely happy with this shelter. Dogs seemed well maintained with food and clean kennels. Would highly recommend if someone is looking to adopt a dog.

This is our 3rd adoption from South Suburban Humane Society. It's a pretty cut and dry experience. Their new facility is very nice, and everything is on site, including their low-cost vetinary services. It was really nice to see the dogs being walked by volunteers. You all rock! Staff were very pleasant, and the process was smooth.

What a Great place!!! Took my daughter there this afternoon to visit Magnus, a 2 yr old male they received last month as a stray. Cameron(Hope spelled right!) helped us from yesterday's call to today's visit and was Top-Notch, 2nd-to-None, Fantastic! The process was smooth, great facility, and we walked out with a new member of our family! Thank you South Suburban Humane Society!

Putting my baby girl Taina down was hands down the hardest thing I ever had to do. It is a very emotionally draining experience. The staff here from start to end were empathetic, knowledgeable, caring, and patient. We had questions, we were scared, we were emotional and were treated with such kindness. Thank you for all you do and your kindness in such a heartbreaking time. ❤️‍🩹

It was my first time at the new facility and I love it. It's very clean and well maintained. The kennels for the dogs are big enough to be comfortable. The staff makes you feel welcomed when you first enter. Highly recommended if you're looking to adopt a pet, or even just to foster.

I've been to the SSHS many times. I've always been spoke to with care, especially by Cameron! She is an asset to this rescue facility. I adopted a precious puppy that was fostered by fabulous woman. Thank you for all you do for these babies.
