Toni helped my son over the summer with reading. She was kind, encouraging and patient with him. Toni was eager to equip me to help my son on non-tutoring days by giving us worksheets and activities to do together. He made significant progress working with her and I would highly recommend her as a tutor. My son had tried lots of OG programs prior to Smart and Special Teaching, but Toni uses EBLI which helped my son more than the other methods. Highly recommend.

Toni is a wonderful teacher. My son with dyslexia has had great growth in ability and confidence since he began his dyslexia therapy sessions. Toni was encouraging and fun during the sessions. Highly recommend Ms Toni at Smart and Special Teaching. She worked with two of my children and we saw progress very quickly and it has continued. Toni of S&S Teaching is a fantastic specialist! She has been a wonderfully patient and creative teacher for our daughter. Toni's experience across multiple curricula for students with dyslexic tendencies enabled her to develop a strong and individualized approach to help our child overcome specific challenges in both literacy and math. Toni is always thinking about whether an approach is working, and willing to change course if necessary. Most specialists are trained in a single approach, which limits what they can do if a student isn't responding well. Students with learning difficulties can want to give up, but Toni does a great job building confidence and maintaining firm expectations.That is so important! She never seems to run out of ideas for helping our daughter get through tough concepts. We are truly blessed to have found her.
