Debbie and her husband are angels in the dedication to caring for animals that need help. We found a baby squirrel and they were very helpful and exuded a caring nature in helping this little guy. Praying he pulls through. I know he’s in the best hands possible.

This place is so great! They took in a baby black bird my children had found and when they saw my children were interested in learning about the bird, they gave us SO much info...even let us see the other rescued birds and let us know what they do for them. An all-around positive experience and we really felt we were leaving the bird in good hands!

Fantastic organization. My dumb cat brought in a baby opossum this morning and I was planning on driving to Auburn to take it to another rescue. In the meantime, my gf made a call, and within an hour, Deb, from SWR was at my doorstep to pick up and help the poor little creature.

Thank you for your kindness and hard work.
Cheers,
//D

I cannot say enough about this organization! My hysband and I were biking near Iron Point rd in El Dorado Hills, when we discovered an injured pidgeon. After making numerous calls to 911 ,etc nobody was willing to help him. Finally, luckily for smart phones, i was able to look up Sierra Wildlufe rescue and they duspatched someone to pick him up and now hes still alive over niggt.

This volunteer organization is full of wonderful caring people. When we lived in the woods we found an injured opossum by the side of our small dirt road. We called Sierra Wildlife and one of their caregivers drove all the way out to our property late at night. She wrapped him up in a towel, checked him out, and took him away for recovery. Two other times I have had someone come out within the hour to pick up injured squirrels I found on the road. We have also dropped off a baby bird at their baby bird nursery they operate every spring. One time we found a fawn curled up in the middle of our dirt road and their deer man told us exactly what to do to reunite it with its mother. It is hard to find another volunteer organization with this kind of dedication.

I found a adult song bird injured on the road. Took it to a Petco got it food and water. Next day it's alert and we'll but with a broken wing. I call a vet they send me to this place. I call them and I call some of there people and not one is willing to take it in. What type of wildlife care is this that you can't take a wild animal off my hands? Then one of your people try sending me over a 100 miles away to the sac wildlife center? I'd have better luck figuring out how to set a wing online then getting these guys help
