I grew used in a small White community in the 1970s/80s: The history I was taught in school was very incomplete. Shorefront is a great resource for filling some of the gaps in my education and broadening my perspective. Hearing the stories of how Evanstonians impacted the community and the broader world makes me feel more connected to the town I’ve chosen to call home. It also helps me better understand why things are the way they are.

What a great asset to the Evanston community. The archives are full of history pertaining to the North shore's Black population. It is incredible.

Dino Morris the founder has a wealth of knowledge and is a great story teller.

Definitely an important visit if you are a history buff, researcher or lay person interested in hearing a good story.
