Mark and Ben also teach scuba at the University of Iowa! They’re great instructors with plenty of patience and are willing to go out of their way to teach you extra skills that make you a better scuba diver. I took both Open Water and Advanced OW and had an amazing time doing both.

Mark and Ben are excellent scuba instructors. Mark treated me and my son like family and went out of his way several times to accommodate my weird work schedule. They are very informative and will take their time until you understand the concepts and will be sure you are able to perform them correctly. Sentry provides excellent scuba training. After having taken classroom training and confined water dives I feel comfortable and well prepared to advance to open water training. Mark and Ben make sure you know your skills. I highly recommend.

Sentry is great. If you're looking for training or certification, Mark (and I'm sure the other instructors, as well) won't rush through the chapters just to teach you the exam questions. He takes the time make sure you understand the content and know how to apply it in the water. There's no high pressure sales or pushing certs that you don't need/want. You can tell they love diving and enjoy getting others involved in it.

Ben and Mark really know their stuff. Listen to them and you will get a great education, feel comfortable in the water, and be ready for some amazing adventures! My wife and I got certified with our 11-year-old son (although he still needs to do his open water next summer). They were incredible with him.
