My grandmother (Valerie Ford) passed away on September 13, 2024. It was a very hard time and we live in Texas so of course this was all new for us and she was sent to a funeral home there then had to be transferred to another one. We had to pay about 6000 dollars between those two funeral homes up front and when we viewed her there she was in a garage. Then we had to figure out how she was gonna be transferred to Illinois and I brought up schilling funeral homes, my mom gave them a call and they accepted my grandma. When we arrived to schilling, John was amazing. John didn’t care if he got the payment up front, he pretty much did a loan payment plan with us which was great because we didn’t have another 5000 up front. He even set up my grandma in her casket and let us view her properly and it was a better experience. John also gave us a pastor preference and asked us all the questions needed and answered all of the questions we had. Amazing funeral home just amazing. We appreciate John and Schilling funeral home for caring for our family and taking care of my grandma. ❤️

I highly recommend John and Schilling as a funeral home of chose if you have a loved one that has passed on. John took care of my grandmas funeral as well as answering any and all questions we had. My grandma passed on September 13th and we live out of state but are originally from IL and needed to get my grandma back home to be buried next to my grandpa....John made sure that all things were taken care of from Texas funeral home all the way back to IL even letting us view her before the funeral. We appreciate John and his family for all the great work you done through our grieving process and making sure everything went smoothly.

One of the hardest things we have to face is making funeral arrangements for a loved one as the process is not easy nor is it fun but schillings funeral home is the best. I highly recommend them to any family going through this. We did an out of state transfer for my mom back to ILLINOIS to be buried next to my dad, John was amazing, so caring and compassionate the whole time and kept the communication going no matter what time of day it was.
