About an hour going north on trail from Woodmen, you’ll hit the Air Force Academy and the signage says you may not pass unless you have proper identification to be on a military installation. If not, walk back. You might even get to see cows along the way.

Cool trail, plenty of parking. South takes you to the air force academy. North takes you to palmer lake and the county line. 100% gravel, a few minor street crossings, only a couple of technical spots.

This is a well kept trail between baptist road and the monument exit. The design and materials are perfect for hiking, biking, running, or walking. Not too crowded on a nice autumn afternoon. My only complaint is that the trail is totally open. No protection from the sun ir wind. Not the best for a summer day's journey, but definately during cooler months.

Great trail for running, walking, biking, just enjoying a touch of the outdoors nearby. Very little to no litter! Seasonal bathroom facility and improved parking. Would rate it 5 stars if further away from the coal train and I-25.
