I was so happy with my experience here! I needed a place to keep my pony for the summer and they got me in quickly and provided amazing care. I thought the rates were reasonable and the staff is really good. The owner really loves horses and cares about them. I highly recommend this place!

Hey there. I'm a boarder at the previously Christensen now Sagewood stables. let me just say that a lot of ppl were grand-fathered in at VERY low prices and/or were friends with the prior owners and received a lot or favors so were very comfortable with how things worked and b/c of that they obviously did not enjoy the change.

I can say that the new owner is doing a great job. and the barn manager karen is amazing! always posting pics of the horses on the site and going above and beyond for everyone all day!! board went up a little bit but now includes blanketing & turn out daily in the pasture which were all $$ extra add on's before. they feed grain daily which was hard for me to find with other places. the new owner also brought in and replaced the mud from all the pens with squeegee, a new footing, in her first week of ownership which was awesome since my horse had been standing in mud for the 3 weeks prior. also had wifi installed, is bringing in some jumps (which is nice for the English ppl). and more awesome changes are coming...board was actually only minimally raised after considering all the add on's you had to pay before.

the barn is a chill fun vibe where a lot of ppl ride out on all the available trails together! I definitely enjoy it and recommend it. the haters will hate b/c of the change, its a good barn. thx!

My 8 year old granddaughter was visiting from England and expressed an interest in trying horseback riding for the first time. A quick Google search found Sagewood Stables and we were able to book a beginner’s lesson for the following day. I wasn’t really sure what to expect but Amelia and her helpers were wonderful and super friendly. A little girl who was nervous to even sit on a horse was confidently trotting around on her own 40 minutes later and loving every minute. Honestly it felt more like visiting family than a business transaction. We were there an hour and a half including a grooming lesson, the riding lesson itself, a tour of the stables and meeting the other horses and animals and never made to feel under any time pressure. The best $65 I’ve spent in a long time.

We (my horse and I) love this place. Mary is the best barn manager. She listens, she take the time to explain things, she remembers the needs of every horse. I am impressed. I have been to several barns and left a few because they were terrible. I left one because my business moved and it was very far from the new location...I see my horse everyday so being close to work is important. I recommend Sagewood Stables if you don't want to worry about your horse if you take a vacation or business trip. Amazing pastures for the horses. They separate them by personality so no one is bullied in pasture. The hay is great, the grain is great and the stalls are cleaned well. Can't say that for many places around town. It's important to me to come to the barn and not have to clean and work. I come there to spend time with my horse.

I have nothing but good things to say about this facility. The care is above and beyond while remaining affordable for the area! This barn took my interest as a closer location to my home and school which was one of my main priorities when I was looking. I was able to take a tour quickly and was happy with how well maintained the barn is.

I am out quite often and love being here! It’s quiet and the other boarders are friendly. Whether I ride alone or ride with others, it has always been a pleasant experience. Communication between management and the owner remains to be easy, especially when it comes to the best interest of the horse.

If you’re looking for a wonderful place that is a second home, this is the barn to be at!

My horse has been at Sagewood for over a year. I am thrilled with the care and attention that he gets. He is a very happy and healthy boy. Amelia, Werner, Mary, Kate, Karen - everyone who is and has been part of running Sagewood has been wonderful, kind, attentive, and responsive. The trails around the barn are better than at any other barn I've been at. I have a 40 minute commute to see my boy, but I am happy at Sagewood and have no desire to move him.

Werner and Amelia are lovely, and have gone out of their way to help my daughter who is one of the younger riders at Sagewood. The care and health of the horses is their top priority and they are making a lot of changes that will really make this a top notch facility. And Karen is a fantastic barn manager. It will be so nice to have a top rated stable in the heart of Broomfield.

I’ve been going to Sagewood for a few months now for lessons. The owners, facility itself and my trainer, Kate are all fantastic. I have advanced much quicker than I anticipated and am so happy that I found Sagewood. The well being of the horses is their top priority. They are the best around!
