The worst experience ever, no programs for felons. Kept getting the run- around from staff. Then gave me resources in Hammond,IN. I ended-up finding a job myself. I would not recommend Safer foundation.

This program was referred to me by my probation officer to help find a job. I was told I had to complete a training in order to get a job. I completed the program and received an award letter of completion and was told to complete a drug test in order to proceed. 3 months later I’m still waiting for the test results to come back and whenever I follow up with the results no one is ever available to speak with me. Honestly this place was a waste of time all together! Do not recommend coming here for any help.

I went to Safer foundation when they were located downtown off clinton I graduated with my GED and also got me enrolled into Coyne American for HVAC. Glad to see they are still changing lives. Best time I ever had the guy took us to baseball games and use to give us 5 bucks a day for lunch and bus fare back an forth. I truly respect them and if they ever need anything I am there. Safer Foundation Is A Place For The Men and Women In Transition From The Jail And Prison Correction System. Offers Services For Expungement Etc. After Enrolling In A Program To Suit Needs And Requirements Respectively To The Situation. Check In And See If Safer Foundation Can Help You. I Am Currently Taking A Solar Installation Program Here And It Is Going Well. You Don't Necessarily Have To Be An Ex Con To Take Advantage Of Safer Foundation's Programs.

This is a place you can really get some help from if you want a job if you want or need any mental health treatment if you need food clothes any personal supplies they'll help you the place is really wonderful and the staff is impeccable
