It's a very peaceful, reflective site. The replica watchtower and various memorial monuments make you think about the sacrifices these "citizens" made for our country despite how the country treated them. I gave it four stars because access is so dependent on the weather weary road conditions.

Sad part of history. Nice memorisl but the audio exhibits did not work except for 2 of them and they were very low volume. No brochures available. Still glad I took time to visit. Peaceful place out in the farmland.

Not much is left of this historic site but a replica guard tower and a cemetery with some monuments to the victims of the internment camps as well as the brace Japanese-American soldiers who fought for a nation that hated them. It's a place you should stop at and take a moment to realize how far we have come but also how much more we have to work on.

There were 3 motels in this town. We chose Relax Inn based on the reviews of others. We were pleased with our guided decision. The room was clean and nicely updated. The bed was very comfortable. We had a small refrigerator/freezer and coffee pot. Both the night and morning staff were very friendly and accommodating.

It was a very sobering experience. I wish the road was better cared for. Some people may not want to take cars in, but it should be fine.
