We love RMCA! We have kids that have gone all the way through RMCA and we still have one enrolled. Our kids have thrived while at RMCA and thrived when they moved on to high school. They were prepared over and above for high school. Our favorite part was the world view, character and habits they have form while at RMCA. We feel like those will stay with them forever.

Our experience at RMCA inspired both awe and aggravation. To list some of the things that went wrong: Our toddler was transported off campus for a field trip without our approval, and although it was an honest mistake, it never should have happened. The same goes for staff posting videos of our child's class performances on the public RMCA Facebook page when we had expressly denied them this permission. A teacher also gave one of our children with allergies food and drink that was not from home, despite the teacher and all the staff--from the admissions office to the principal--knowing this is not allowed. Instead of taking a few seconds to text us, they chose to let our child decide whether it was safe; it wasn't. They completely abandoned parents during the COVID lockdown (while still requiring full tuition) and claimed to be "busier than ever," but provided no live instruction and only started recording a few very short videos per week after parents complained. The school underwent a split some years back, but teacher and staff turnover still remains alarmingly high. The latest round of hasty hirings finally broke the proverbial camel's back. When we brought up these issues (and many, many more) to the principal and provided feedback to the Board, we've been largely ignored. The phonics and math are advanced, but the school completely neglects STEM (which you can absolutely teach without a screen). That said, for every two families I've talked to that left prematurely, there's at least one reenrolling their child who was barely reading and now devours books or had to be bribed to get out of the car at drop-off and now shows no signs of their former school-related anxiety. From what I've gathered, you'll probably be pleased if you're coming from the public school system, but if your kids have only ever been in private school, you may end up disappointed, especially in RMCA's admittance and reenrollment of intentionally disruptive and non-religious students who openly bully believers.
