Absolutely delightful!!! Beautiful art, wonderful stories, very kind pleasant host who just fits the museum wonderfully! She was a hoot! (Lana?) It’s a different place & time that made me wish we could turn back time. My family felt overwhelmingly welcomed with hugs for everyone! I definitely recommend this experience!

This was such a magical place and one of my best travel experiences to date. I am still moved by the breathtaking art and heart that permeated from this beautiful shop. I didn’t get the privilege to meet the beloved Rockey but you could feel his presence and unique artistry imprinted throughout his home. I can say with confidence that he would be SO proud of the amazing Lana who puts her heart and soul into sharing the magic and carrying on his legacy through stories, inspirational quotes and the magic mirror. I hope I can transcend half the magic and wonder when I read his book/masterpiece (“Love Songs of Middle Time”) to my daughter as she grows up. Thank you for the great experience! ✨

It's impossible to fall in love with Manitou without falling in love with the art of Charles Rockey. Getting to visit the studio and see his artwork was one of my favorite experiences. Lana was just the sweetest and helped to make it a magical experience. I feel like we got to know the man himself through her tour of the home. His artwork is a treasure, and I hope this museum is always here for people to enjoy.

Guys, this place is a treasure. I dare say one of the most important artistic facilities in the entire state of Colorado. As others have mentioned, it isn’t quite a museum or gallery, but rather a glimpse into Rockey’s life, his work, and his legacy. Lana was the wonderfully kind lady who guided my partner and I through this special experience. She is brimming with excitement and enthusiasm for the art. It is rare to meet people as passionate as she. She really wants to engage and connect with everyone who visits and takes the time to make things really personal and detailed. Rockey’s art is something you have to see for yourself. I won’t ruin the surprise, but I would like to say that you will be blown away. A must see if visiting Manitou, what a treasure!
