Not a good school for disabled children. My daughter has cognitive impairments due to her epilepsy and I told them this when she started but nothing they did there was helping. They basically kicked her out after a semester by putting her into a one hour a day independent study that benefits no one and is there to push troubled teens out of the school. If you're going to be in the business of helping troubled teens then help them or find the resources to help them, don't push them out into the street and if my daughter was doing so poorly why was I never contacted more than the one time they did. Her grades were okay so I assumed everything else was going okay. Next thing I know she's not welcome at R-5 for daytime classes. Maybe this was my fault thinking they could help my kid in a resource desert like Grand Junction. I have to send her back to Vegas so she can finish school.

This a great school with project based learning.these teachers REALLY DO CARE!! my daughter absolutely HATED school before attending r5 now she loves it and is very involved!!THANK YOU R5
