For the $130 I paid for a Friday night, single king bed, I felt it was worth it. Building, room and property seem well taken care of. There was none of that lingering smell you know that rooms and buildings often have. Good customer service too.

I was a bit surprised about the $20 pet fee as I didn't see this in the details when I booked and I definitely looked. I would change this to a $50 refundable deposit if all is well.

The room was clean, we didn’t take advantage of the breakfast so can’t speak to that. Pamela was friendly and very helpful every time we interacted with her. The location is excellent if you are looking to hike Whitney. It might feel a little pricy but you’re also paying for the proximity to Mount Whitney.

My family and I stayed here on our way up to Lake Tahoe from Los Angeles. Upon check in we were told that the hotel’s water supply was contaminated by a bacteria! You heard that right. Bacteria. We were told not to drink the tap water but showering was ok? Gross. We were afraid to even brush our teeth using the contaminated tap water. The pool at the hotel was ice cold. Not pleasant even in the summer heat. Freezing. All the kids were turning blue and their teeth were chattering. The jacuzzi was roped off with yellow caution tape and closed. Looked like a crime scene. There was some sort of nasty bug or termite infestation all over the hallways. Hundreds appeared to be dead but none of the maintenance workers were making any effort to clean them up. Our room was run down with gashes in the walls and peeling wallpaper. I hate to be so negative so I will add two positives: the beautiful mountain view and the free breakfast (which included a good variety of food). We were charged $270/night + tax =$302 total for one Friday night. Highway robbery! Not worth the price but we were tired and desperate. We will definitely not be staying here again and I would not even recommend this place to my enemies.

I like this hotel and I hate to leave a mediocre rating but it must be done. The rooms are fine (what you would expect) and the staff is nice and helpful. The problem is with the room keys. They have an old system that requires a guest to slide the card through a slot. The keys only worked occasionally. I had to go to the front desk three times to get new cards (and usually they didn't help). My buddies had the same problem.

Served its purpose for hiking Mt Whitney. A bit run down (holes in curtains, grout grey, lots of corners chipped etc. and not super clean. Hardly a good value- overpriced actually for what you get. Breakfast is quite limited and the hours are short..(6-9) only. I can say it was quiet.

Stayed here after summiting Mt. Whitney, this was the most affordable. The breakfast was fantastic, and the staff are really friendly! They were so accommodating! We also got to see a bunch of rabbits outside our window.

Stayed here several times on road trips over the years and it’s always been a great place to stop! Just stayed the other night and Pamela at the front desk was so accommodating and nice even though it was 1am. Cianni another employee helped us through a situation I had when I left a personal belonging behind in our room and was extremely kind and helpful I cannot thank her enough for all of her care and help. Highly recommended this as a good safe and comfortable spot to stay with an awesome staff! (Good breakfast room as well, very clean).

Room is nice and clean. Breakfast is not the best, but I have had worse. Sausage, eggs, waffles, apples, bread, cereal, orange juice, and water.
